Marketing Intern (EtherWAN) - Summer 2025

Irvine, California (Hybrid)

This role is for EtherWAN, a Phoenix Contact Company. The selected intern will be an EtherWAN employee. 

Synopsis

As a Marketing Intern, you will assist in driving and building EtherWAN’s brand via traditional and web-based marketing activities. EtherWAN runs much like a startup, so you will be given the freedom to create exciting content, learn B2B marketing, be mentored by experienced professionals, and insert your own creativity and humor into our brand. You will play an integral part in the success of the company.  This will be a showcase on your resume, and a great experience to draw on during your career.

Due to the critical work our interns provide, we prefer an intern who is available to continue into Fall 2025 and potentially Spring 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Use your imagination to come up with unique promotions
  • Help inject excitement into the organization
  • Incorporate strategic plans into messages and content placed on social media (YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn)
  • Monitor trends in social media, intelligent transportation systems, water/wastewater, smart cities, and security and apply knowledge to help create effective content
  • Assist in tracking marketing strategies and efforts through metrics
  • Hands-on involvement in marketing logistics, including event production through both scheduling and shipping, collateral coordination and etc.
  • Assist in the design and development of content for product manuals, data sheets, brochures, etc. in both print and web-based formats
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing special projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Actively enrolled in a four-year college/university
  • Majors: marketing, videography (film), communications, graphic design.
  • Self-starter with a record of accomplishment and a passion for learning
  • Creative artist with a passion for creative marketing
  • Experience with social media
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team
  • Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign is a plus
  • Experience with marketing metrics is a plus
  • Regular and on time attendance
