Patient Registration Specialist (PH remote)

Phoenix Med Health is an innovative physicians network at home who has been delivering high quality healthcare to elderly patients in assisted and independent living communities, group homes, and private homes for more than five years.

Phoenix Med Health has 50+ full-time healthcare clinicians (board certified physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, podiatrists, psychiatry, psychologists, and wound-care specialists) who visit patients in their own senior living homes. We are also rapidly expanding the house-call network model with our patent-pending telemedicine via 4G/5G smart phones and tablets. 

We currently serve patients in over 300+ communities across the Valley and are staffing for further expansion.

 

Job Summary: 

We are seeking an experienced Patient Registration Specialist with a strong background in medical front office operations or healthcare support. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day patient registration processes, ensuring accurate and timely documentation in the EHR system, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support patient care and billing efficiency.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Office Manager, Healthcare Operations Manager, Clinicians, Medical Assistants, and internal team to ensure timely completion of registrations, project assignments, and end-of-day (EOD) reports
  • Complete patient charting within working hours, ensuring same-day clean billing and timely initial visits (within 45 minutes)
  • Schedule telemedicine and follow-up appointments as required by clinicians
  • Perform patient registration, point-of-service collections, and insurance authorization verification to maximize reimbursement
  • Deliver excellent customer service by creating a positive and welcoming patient experience
  • Serve as a liaison between patients, registration, billing, operations, and clinical teams
  • Verify insurance benefits and collect patient financial responsibility during pre-registration or point of service
  • Conduct outbound calls following Business Development scripts to improve patient satisfaction and encourage survey participation and online reviews

 

Qualifications 

  • At least 1 year of experience in a medical front office or healthcare setting
  • Background in patient registration, insurance verification, or healthcare administration
  • Experience in a call center or BPO environment is an advantage
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems is preferred
  • Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Experience in EHR is a plus
  • Computer skill is a must
