About PhonePe Compliance
PhonePe considers its Compliance function a core strategic strength vital for maintaining stakeholder trust and ensuring strict adherence to global and local regulatory requirements. Led by the Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer, the team’s primary responsibility is to identify and mitigate risks, utilizing Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across various vertical (business-focused) and horizontal domains. This comprehensive structure ensures that the Compliance function works closely with teams across the entire organization.
Position objective:
This position is responsible for the management and execution of key components of the POSH and Ethics program for PhonePe Group. The position is within the Anti-Corruption & Ethics vertical of the Compliance function.
Major Responsibilities:
- Assist the Internal Committee throughout sexual harassment inquiries by managing case intakes with empathy and confidentiality, coordinating logistics and scheduling for hearings, recording formal meeting minutes, and drafting impartial, legally sound investigation summary reports and action plan recommendations.
- Serve as the internal operational point of contact for Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) compliance by managing annual statutory filings, updating workplace harassment policies in line with current legal mandates, coordinating mandatory employee awareness sessions, and maintaining meticulous, audit-ready documentation for all internal committee (IC) activities.
- Supports in the Ethics case management program by ensuring all reported cases from across the PhonePe Group are addressed in a timely manner, consistent with global governance expectations and mandates, as well as proactively develops company specific tools/process to further improve and enhance case handling to meet or exceed established KPIs and business needs.
- Work closely with Corporate Investigations, HR, Business, and Legal teams to drive the process and ensure timely conclusion of cases.
- Supports in developing, monitoring, and reporting on company’s case management metrics and ensuring the proactive update of the cases on the Case Management Tool.
- Actively contributes to the development, implementation and/or execution of the Ethics training and awareness program including the development of training content; delivery and tracking of training sessions.
- Supports in execution, coordination, and participation in activities to assess the effectiveness of the ethics program, including but training & awareness, and Integrity surveys.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualification preferred – Lawyer or equivalent degree in Human Resources, Law, Social Work, or a related field, with a strong foundational understanding of the POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) Act, 2013, statutory compliance requirements, and workplace policy frameworks.
- Atleast 3 years of relevant experience in conducting and supporting formal workplace investigations relating to sexual harassment, Code of Conduct violations, fraud, vendor favouritism, etc.
- A strong commitment to integrity and professionalism, and passion for excellence.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interface with cross -functional teams and front-line associates.
