The Role

The Director, Quality leads the development, implementation, and oversight of company-wide quality systems to ensure products, services, and processes meet rigorous regulatory standards, customer expectations, and continuous improvement goals. This role is pivotal in maintaining compliance, minimizing risk, and building a culture of quality excellence across the organization. The quality Assurance director is also responsible, in coordination with Legal and Corporate communication, to define, implement and maintain protocols to manage quality related incidents.

What you’ll do:

Quality Strategy & Leadership:

  • Define and drive the company’s quality vision, strategy, and goals in alignment with business objectives.
  • Lead and mentor QA teams, ensuring proper training, development, and performance management.

Compliance & Auditing:

  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., FDA, ISO, GMP, GCP, GLP, or industry-specific standards).
  • Prepare for and lead internal and external audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews.
  • Oversee CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) processes, deviations, and root cause analysis.

Quality Systems & Processes:

  • Optimize quality management systems (QMS) across the organization through an established platform (Veeva)
  • Establish policies and procedures for document control, change management, and risk assessment.
  • Collaborate with product development, manufacturing, and operations to ensure quality is built into every process.

Customer Focus:

  • Lead customer complaint investigations and ensure timely, effective resolutions.
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives based on customer feedback and product performance data.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Corporate communication and Supply Chain to ensure integrated quality management processes.
  • Act as the voice of quality in product lifecycle decisions and executive leadership discussions.

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, engineering, or quality-related field (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Industrial Engineering); advanced degree or certifications (e.g., ASQ, Six Sigma, Lean, CQA, CQE) preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in quality assurance or regulatory affairs, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of industry regulations and quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 13485, FDA etc.…).
  • Experience implementing and/or managing electronic quality management systems (eQMS).
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Compensation 

The pay range for this role is $174,000 - $210,00. Actual compensation is based on many factors including but not limited to depth of experience, skill level, ability, knowledge, education, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. 

The total rewards package for this position may also include base, annual incentive plan, benefits, retirement plan, equity, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
