Human Resources Manager - Franklin, TN
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human resource function for the Western Region. This role requires a deep understanding of California labor and employment laws and a strong ability to foster a compliant, positive, and productive work environment.
Work Location: Franklin, TN
Hybrid Schedule: In-office presence required on Tuesdays and Wednesdays; remote work permitted on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and staff on all HR-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state (particularly California), and local employment laws and regulations.
- Oversee and manage HR operations including onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, and offboarding.
- Manage employee relations issues with professionalism, discretion, and consistency.
- Conduct internal investigations and manage disciplinary actions, as necessary.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives and support a positive workplace culture.
- Oversee HRIS (UKG) and maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
- Partner with leadership on organizational development, workforce planning, and succession planning.
- Deliver training sessions on HR policies, compliance, and best practices.
EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- In-depth knowledge of California employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
- Experience in healthcare or dermatology practices preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with integrity and confidentiality.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems (UKG) and Microsoft Office Suite.
