Manager, Integrations Engineering

The Manager, Integrations Engineering is responsible for leading the Integrations discipline within Pie's Technology organization. This role will own integrations related to our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms, financial systems, commercial insurance products, and bespoke applications. This individual will drive the implementation of an iPaaS platform (Workato), while maintaining integrations across numerous platforms within our operational technology ecosystem. 

The individual in this role will work with our senior technology leadership to shape the future direction, as well as the hiring needs of the Integrations discipline at Pie.

How You’ll Do It

Design: 

  • Partner with our Product and Engineering departments to gather and analyze requirements from stakeholders to determine integration needs and assess dependencies and risk.
  • Partner with Software Engineering to design and execute the transition of custom integrations to an IPaaS platform.
  • Draft technical designs, engineering plans, testing plans, observability and monitoring plans, and other systems integration-related documents.
  • Design enterprise platform strategy and oversee the research and design of their team of integration engineers. 

Collaborate:

  • Collaborate on the development and maintenance of a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipeline for Pie’s Salesforce instance.
  • Collaborate on standards and processes to support and facilitate integration projects and initiatives.
  • Be a thought leader with business partners on areas where system integrations can solve business needs
  • Act as a champion of the Agile mindset with a focus on working in small, iterative projects that provide immediate business value
  • Develop strategic team initiatives and drive those initiatives within the Product and Technology roadmaps

Lead:

  • Navigate ambiguity to provide direction to a future team of integration engineers.
  • Design and maintain the roadmap for new platform architecture strategy and integration implementations that bring the most value to the organization.
  • Strong focus on team career development while providing guidance and performance management in regular 1x1s with team members.
  • Be an active member of the technology leadership team, helping set standards and policies to improve organizational health and efficiency.
  • Leverage metrics and KPIs to identify areas of opportunity for team and technology improvements.
  • Proactively identify integration-related business gaps and inefficiencies, translating insights into actionable, scalable solutions.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner by surfacing integration challenges and developing forward-thinking solutions that improve efficiency and agility.

The Right Stuff

  • 5+ years of software integration experience, either through Integration Platform as a Service (IPaaS) solutions or custom development
  • 3+ years of experience working and leveraging IPaaS solutions 
  • 2+ years of experience with software development technologies (programming languages like TypeScript or C#, GitHub, Cloud Environments, etc.)
  • 2+ years of people leadership experience (manager, team lead, etc.)
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, and performance management 
  • Familiar with software observability and testing paradigms
  • Experience with Scrum or other agile methodologies, You operate  with an agile mindset that emphasizes delivering small, incremental improvements for our customers
  • Experience in a product-led organization
  • Experience interfacing with enterprise applications such as Salesforce, Financial Applications (Intacct, Netsuite, Workday Financials), HRIS Software ( Workday, etc.), and ServiceNow

Base Compensation Range

$140,000 - $175,000 USD
