About Pilotbase:

Pilotbase powers the world’s flight training ecosystem, supporting over 1,400 flight schools and tens of thousands of pilots through and beyond training each year. We are expanding our Pilot Experience Solutions, a connected system that brings together flight schools, pilots, and industry partners into a single, data-driven network. This next phase of growth is focused on expanding within our existing customer base, reaching pilots directly, and creating new revenue streams across the ecosystem.

LogTen, Pilotbase’s digital pilot logbook designed for professionals, is one of our primary ways of supporting pilots after training as they track their activity, progress their career, and maintain their numerous requirements as a pilot.

Job Overview:

As Product Manager, Pilot Experience, you own the professional pilot side of our platform, including the capabilities that working pilots and aviation professionals rely on every day, such as professional logbooks, reporting, currency management, and schedule integrations to name a few. Working closely with the Lead Product Manager of Pilot Experience, you turn user insight and business goals into a clear roadmap and ship elegant, high-quality features at a fast, consistent pace. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role: you partner daily with engineering, design, and go-to-market teams to move from problem definition through launch, iteration, and scale. You bring strong product sense, sound judgment in ambiguity, and an AI-first mindset to a complex B2B2C ecosystem that serves pilots across their entire career journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the roadmap for professional pilot capabilities, including professional logbooks, reporting, currency management, and schedule integrations, in partnership with the Lead Product Manager, Pilot Experience.
  • Run product discovery with professional pilots and aviation professionals, turning user insight and problem definition into well-scoped, high-impact features.
  • Partner closely with engineering, UX, and design to deliver elegant, high-quality features at a fast, consistent pace.
  • Define and track clear outcomes, using activation, engagement, and retention metrics to steer priorities and validate product direction.
  • Drive engagement and habit formation around the workflows professional pilots depend on, anchoring daily, weekly, and monthly usage.
  • Support go-to-market execution, partnering with growth, marketing, and CS on positioning, messaging, and activation for new features and releases.
  • Manage and integrate input from opinionated stakeholders and subject-matter experts while maintaining forward momentum.
  • Identify opportunities where AI can meaningfully accelerate user outcomes and product velocity.
  • Contribute to broader product management practices across the Pilot Experience team, raising the bar for UX, workflow clarity, and product craftsmanship.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED:

  • 4–6 years of product management experience, including shipping features end-to-end from discovery through launch and iteration.
  • Strong product sense and discernment, with a track record of delivering high-quality, user-centered features.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize effectively and drive toward measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to align engineers, designers, and cross-functional partners around a shared plan.
  • Comfort operating with incomplete information, creating clarity and momentum in areas of ambiguity.
  • Strong partnership with engineering and design, with experience planning and delivering quality product increments at pace.
  • Experience evaluating and applying AI technologies to enhance user value and streamline workflows.

PREFERRED:

  • Experience with professional or B2B2C products, ideally where compliance, recordkeeping, or scheduling are core.
  • Experience building habit-forming or engagement-focused product experiences.
  • Aviation industry background or a passion for flight.
  • Experience operating in regulated or safety-critical environments

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
