Finance Operations Account Manager

The Role

Pilot is building a first-of-its-kind, hybrid software/service solution to tackle the financial back office (bookkeeping, tax, CFO, etc.) so that founders and business owners can focus on building and running their businesses. We work with thousands of startup and small business customers, and we are growing rapidly.
 
Account Managers on our Finance Operations team manage the bookkeeping and accounting back office needs for a portfolio of customers. As an Account Manager, you will leverage our proprietary software to eliminate common errors, deliver better results, and provide an elevated customer experience overall. 
  
This is a hybrid role based in our Nashville Ops HQ, with the opportunity to apply to become remote upon demonstrated good performance. Our office is based in the WeWork in Music Row, and we supply snacks, lunch, and good vibes!

Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage Pilot software to produce high quality books and financial reports while meeting monthly deadlines
  • Build strong relationships with and provide exceptional experience to a portfolio of customers
  • Develop scalable and accurate accounting workflows to record a customer’s financial activity accurately and efficiently
  • Contribute to a culture of inclusion and belonging on the team

About You

  • 2+ years of experience in a finance, accounting, consulting or business role or B.S. or MS. in related field
  • Tech savvy and a fast learner
  • Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Good customer management skills, including polite and professional communication
  • Experience with Excel/Google Sheets

The base pay range target for the role seniority described in this job description is $50,000-$83,000 in Nashville, TN. Final offer amounts depend on multiple factors such as candidate experience and expertise, geographic location, total compensation, and market data. In addition to cash pay, full-time regular positions are eligible for equity, 401(k), health benefits, and other benefits; some of these benefits may be available for part-time or temporary positions.
