Key Responsibilities

Pzena Investment Management is seeking a highly qualified individual to join the firm as a Research Analyst on its equity research team. We follow a disciplined investment process to implement our classic value philosophy as described below.

  • We seek to invest in good businesses trading at depressed valuations, typically due to company-specific or industry-wide stress.
  • Each analyst on the team assumes coverage of one or more industries on a global basis, typically rotating to new coverage after 3-5 years. Analysts need not come in with prior industry expertise in their sectors of coverage and will develop expertise organically and over time.
  • The substance of our work is to perform rigorous, in-depth analysis of key issues through industry research, review of public filings, and meetings with senior management.
  • Final investment decisions are made collaboratively in research review meetings, where the analyst and portfolio managers arrive at consensus through discussion of key issues and review of financial models.
  • Our typical investment holding period is 3-5 years, during which time we continually monitor developments and meet periodically with senior management.

Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of work experience with a track record of excellence in your field. A variety of expertise can be applicable to effective business analysis. • Graduate degree, CFA, CPA or equivalent is helpful but not required.
  • A strong work ethic.
  • Skilled in using business data to form inferences and to make informed decisions.
  • The ability to work in a self-managed environment as part of a research team.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
