Pine Gate Renewables is looking for a Insurance & Risk Manager (Surety) plays a key role in the successful acquisition and management of surety products meeting security requirements throughout different stages of the project lifecycle. This role manages the surety needs for the entire organization in order to streamline processes and maximize capital efficiency.
What You’ll Do:
- Coordinate with external surety providers and the internal team to secure surety products on time.
- Produce draft surety bonds and letter of credits accurately and timely.
- Manage requirements for current surety products, including renewals, exonerations, reductions and collateral.
- Plan for annual surety needs and create strategic plans for Power Purchase Agreements, InterConnection Agreements, and other needs.
- Maximize capital efficiency with Treasury, Risk & Insurance, and other teams.
- Audit cash postings for Power Purchase Agreements and InterConnection Agreements to find surety solutions and increase cash availability.
- Coordinate with Project Finance and Transactions during Financial Close to replace early-stage surety products
- Plan and execute the annual Underwriting Summit.
- Build relationships with surety providers to expand options.
- Advocate for optimal surety options.
Must Haves
- 5 or more years’ professional experience in insurance and risk management, ideally within the renewable energy industry preferred.
- Expertise in Surety & Bonds management.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage and collaborate across teams.
- Proven experience in relationship management, maintaining effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Solid project management experience, with a focus on delivering results within deadlines.
- In-depth knowledge of claims and litigation management processes.
Education and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business or Risk Management preferred.
Working Environment and Physical Demand
- Remote with in-office option. Up to 10% travel.
