As a Senior Product Manager at PingCAP, you will lead the development of TiDB's Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) product for public cloud scenarios, dedicated to delivering an out-of-the-box database service to global users. This role will empower users to experience TiDB's native capabilities, including auto-scaling, high availability, and hybrid OLTP/OLAP integration. You will deeply engage in the full product lifecycle—from strategic planning to requirement implementation and feature design—to maximize product value. We expect you to be self-driven, innovative, eager to explore new technologies, and capable of both independent problem-solving and efficient team collaboration to accurately capture market needs and translate them into product solutions.
- Own the roadmap for TiDB cloud products, design automated solutions for large-scale public cloud deployments, and drive the adoption of TiDB in global markets.
- Define core capabilities and functional modules of the Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) product, lead prioritization and trade-off decisions for requirements, and optimize developer experience (UI/UX) to align with customer scenarios.
- Collaborate closely with the TiDB kernel technical team to jointly build innovative workload solutions for public cloud environments.
- Participate in building market awareness of the product, create marketing materials, and promote the product and its strategy externally.
- Establish a closed-loop customer feedback mechanism to transform user insights into product iteration directions and continuously improve the product experience.
- 5+ years of product management experience, with preference for candidates with experience in cloud computing (PaaS/IaaS), and particularly those with experience in enterprise-level Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) products.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent technical background and practical experience.
- Ability to break down complex requirements into clear, deliverable tasks, with strong logical thinking and execution skills.
- Basic understanding of database technologies and cloud service ecosystems, with excellent cross-team collaboration and communication skills.
