As a Software Quality Engineer on the PingFederate team, you will play an active role in furthering the success of our product and the happiness of our customers.
Paired with a mentor, you will be tasked to improve the quality of the product and streamline our internal processes.
You will:
- Participate in requirements, design, test plan and code reviews
- Create test plans and test cases, perform manual testing, as well as develop automated test suites to validate API, backend and frontend components
- Maintain and enhance our Java-based automation test framework
- Work with development and quality engineering peers in a team environment
- Report to the QA Manager in Vancouver, Canada
You have:
- 2+ years of experience testing software solutions
- 2+ years of experience developing test automation using Java, including building UI test automation with Selenium WebDriver and test automation for RESTful APIs
- Experience working on high performance agile development teams
- Experience with tools in the Software Development Life Cycle including: IDEs (Eclipse or IntelliJ), source control (Git), build (Maven) and CI tools (Jenkins)
- Experience with Linux, Windows, Kubernetes, AWS, Docker and other cloud-based virtualization technology
- Experience with databases using any RDBMS (MySQL, MS SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) or NoSQL-based system Experience with LDAP and directory servers, such as Microsoft Active Directory
You have an advantage if you:
- Have strong interest in digital identity security
- Have familiarity with cryptographic concepts and TLS/SSL certificates
- Have knowledge of authentication and authorization protocols, such as SAML, OAuth and OpenID Connect
- Have high energy and enthusiasm for everything you do
$80,000 CAD - $103,500 CAD
In accordance with Pay Transparency Act the approximate compensation range for this role in Canada is listed above. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors, such as knowledge, skills, and abilities.
