We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Reporting Senior to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Manager of Financial Reporting, you will play a key role in preparing and filing regulatory reports, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, and supporting both internal and external reporting processes. This is a unique opportunity to join a high-impact finance team at a time of significant transition, where you will be closely involved in the financial reporting and governance that are critical to the company’s evolving needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and filing of quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
- Assist in the interpretation and application of U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations to ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements.
- Prepare and book monthly stock-based compensation journal entries in accordance with U.S. GAAP, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and external reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate timely and efficient audits, ensuring all necessary supporting documentation is provided.
- Assist technical accounting team by conducting research on complex accounting transactions and preparing written accounting memos for review by management and external auditors.
- Work closely with internal teams (FP&A, tax, corp dev, etc.) and external advisors (e.g., legal counsel) as needed to support all financial data reporting needs.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience.
- CPA 3+ years of relevant accounting experience, with public accounting or financial reporting experience preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of US GAAP, SEC regulations and SOX controls
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets)
- Works well in a team environment, as well as independently
- Excellent research & analytical skills and a detail-oriented mindset
- Ability to prioritize effectively, meet deadlines, and follow through to execute all tasks
You have an advantage if you bring:
- Familiarity with Netsuite and Workiva
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A self-starter attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- A collaborative spirit.
Salary Range: $95,000 - $105,000
In accordance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) the approximate compensation range for this role in Colorado is listed above. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors, such as knowledge, skills, and abilities.
