As a Senior Software Engineer at Ping Identity, you'll be a key player in building the next generation of web applications for our cutting-edge Identity platform. You'll transform innovative concepts into reality, collaborating within a fast-paced, cross-functional, and internationally focused team of product managers, software engineers, and data scientists. This role is perfect for a passionate developer with strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills who thrives on research, innovation, and delivering exceptional user experiences in an inclusive environment.
Responsibilities
-
Develop IAM (Identity & Access Management) related web applications and tooling in Vue and React JS.

Work closely with our UX team and product management to refine features and ensure frictionless interfaces for our customers.

Collaborate with several backend teams to design features and API interfaces.

Design and review components for our shared component library, ensuring clear and consistent interfaces for internal and customer consumers while adhering to best practices.

Provide maintenance and security updates for a broad range of legacy UIs.

Participate in development life cycle activities like design, coding, testing, and production releases of the Ping Platform UI.

Implement, document, and evangelize best practices and industry standards for both internal and external developers.

Debug production issues across services and levels of the Advanced Identity Cloud (AIC) integration with the Platform UI.

Thrive in a rapidly changing environment, continuously working to adapt to ever-evolving customer needs.

Demonstrate strong communication skills and set a good example for other engineers.

Identify shortcomings of current architecture and design and push for continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
-
4+ years of HTML and CSS as well as a fundamental understanding of JavaScript.
-
4+ years of Web-application development experience.
-
2+ years of production experience (primary) with one of the following: React.js, Angular, Vue.js or Svelte.js.
-
1+ years with a secondary JS framework or library.
-
Strong experience with developing accessible, compliant UI components.
-
Experience with authentication, authorization, and identity management.
-
Experience with CORS, SSL/TLS, and other security communication protocols.
-
Experience with RESTful services.
-
BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
-
Good time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience with multiple application architectures (SPA, Flux, SSR, universal/isomorphic).
-
Experience with Redux Toolkit (RTK) and RTK Query.
-
Experience with building REST API applications in Node.js.
-
Experience working within a distributed team.

Proficient knowledge of Git and Git tooling.
-
Agile/Scrum Methodologies.
-
Experience with application security practices (OWASP Top 10).

Experience with systems at large scale.
-
Docker, Kubernetes, and VM experience.

Experience with web accessibility.
