
Senior Actuarial Analyst (Contract Opportunity)

What you’ll do:
This job is responsible for developing moderately complex managerial information based on actuarial and financial analyses.
What you can expect:
- Perform actuarial analyses, with guidance, to assist in the development of actuarial computations leading to the recommendation of pricing strategies and loss reserving.
- Analyzes available data to determine relationships, trends, and indications.
- Looks for and identifies data issues.
- Participate in the development of business recommendations and analysis of strategies.
- Utilizes internal and external data and tools to assist in developing new actuarial analyses.
- Under general to limited supervision, exercises discretion and independent judgment within limited authority level while performing work of moderate complexity.
What you need to be successful:
- Demonstrated proficiency with computer software including current Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Demonstrates a growing knowledge of data aggregation and analysis software.
- Demonstrates a strong mathematical aptitude.
- Demonstrates a growing knowledge for the insurance field.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with colleagues at all levels.
- Capable of effectively presenting technical information to technical audiences.
- Capable of following tasks as assigned by a project leader with appropriate communication regarding progress with an understanding of the impact on the overall project and meeting the necessary deadlines. They participate in the development of the overall project plan.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, math/applied math, statistics/applied statistics, or related field.
- Five or more years of Workers’ Compensation actuarial experience.
- Four or more actuarial exams completed.
WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

Contract and Compensation Details
When we find the right person, we want to put our best foot forward with an offer that excites you. We consider what you'd like to be paid, the skills and experience you bring, and what similar jobs pay in the Denver area. We also make sure there's equal pay for equal work among those you'll be working with.
- This is a 90-day contract position.
- The compensation for this role is targeted at $46.39 - $48.75 per hour.
- Payroll & benefits will be administered through an agency partnership.
- Will not be contracting 1099 applicants directly.
Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including your experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
