Job Duties: Build out full-stack internal tools to keep users safe and power the future of inspiration on Pinterest. Understand moderation agent workflows and suggest opportunities for optimization and scaling of decisions. Support system stability by adding testing, metrics and alerting to key systems. Make data-driven decisions, leveraging Pinterest’s data corpus, while complying with any relevant data privacy or access policies. Partner with design, product, and backend teams to build end-to-end functionality that powers content review at scale. Employ automated testing to build features with a high degree of technical quality, taking responsibility for the components and features you develop. Work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers, and clearly communicate complex technical topics to laypeople. Telecommuting is permitted.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field) or closely related quantitative discipline and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field.
Special Skill Requirements: (1) Full-stack development experience; (2) Experience building consumer or business facing software products; (3) JavaScript and TypeScript; (4) API; (5) Storage and caching; (6) Data processing; (7) Python; (8) PostgreSQL; (9) React; (10) Docker and AWS. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is permitted.
Salary: $185,000.00 - $234,665.00 per annum.
