Job Duties: Design new architecture and engineer changes to existing architecture for Pinterest’s software packages and microservice components to support the emerging new requirements of Pinterest’s business. Develop and maintain backend features and efficient data pipelines for processing large-scale data within the recommendation system. Build new components in the distributed architecture, enhancing existing components with new features and requirements, optimizing performance and accuracy through data analysis and ensuring seamless operations to handle the vast amount of information generated by upstream data pipelines. Maintain critical backend services and products for essential Pinterest business applications. Incident management, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of content to users and address any issues that may arise within the recommendation systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align work with the company’s strategic goals and priorities. Telecommuting is permitted. Some travel to Pinterest offices may be required.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field) or closely related quantitative discipline and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field.
Special Skill Requirements: (1) Java; (2) Python; (3) Designing and implementing scalable backend infrastructure and data pipelines; (4) Recommender Systems; (5) AWS; (6) Scala; (7) Spark and Git; (8) Pytorch; (9) Scikit-learn; (10) TensorFlow; (11) SQL. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is permitted. Some travel to Pinterest offices may be required.
Salary: $196,378.35 - $267,272.00 per annum
