Mid/Senior Full-Stack PHP Developer (Laravel/Vue)

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Pioneering Evolution is seeking a mid-to-senior level full-stack PHP developer to join our team. This role focuses on building and maintaining complex web applications using the Laravel framework and Vue.js. The ideal candidate combines strong PHP back-end skills with modern front-end development expertise and thrives in a collaborative, Agile environment. You will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of secure, scalable, and user-friendly applications that directly support our clients’ mission needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver complete, working solutions that meet all functional and technical requirements described in assigned tickets.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code that adheres to project coding standards.
  • Avoid unnecessary complexity by implementing solutions consistent with existing code patterns and architecture.
  • Thoroughly test and validate solutions to ensure reliability, performance, and delivery of clean, production-ready code.
  • Manage personal workload effectively to deliver timely solutions without sacrificing quality.
  • Translate functional requirements into clear, actionable technical tasks and tickets, ensuring alignment with project scope and development standards.
  • Collaborate with senior developers, QA, and business analysts to clarify requirements and confirm acceptance criteria are fully met.
  • Participate in peer code reviews to ensure consistency, simplicity, and maintainability across the codebase.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, coding standards, and technical documentation.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of professional web application development with demonstrated ability to deliver complete, production-ready features on schedule.
  • Strong PHP experience with Laravel or similar MVC frameworks, with emphasis on writing clean, testable, and reusable code.
  • Strong JavaScript skills with Vue.js (preferred) or another modern framework, with focus on building maintainable components.
  • Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Proficiency with MySQL, including designing normalized schemas and writing optimized queries.
  • Solid understanding of Git workflows (branching, pull requests, code reviews) and ability to manage clean commits without debug/unnecessary code.
  • Experience applying coding standards and design patterns to produce simple, maintainable solutions aligned with existing architecture.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and deliver quality work within agreed timelines.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Familiarity with AWS or other cloud environments.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks (PHPUnit, Dusk, Jest, etc.).
  • Experience working in Agile Scrum teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to contribute to design discussions and advocate for best practices in security, performance, and maintainability.
  • Experience collaborating with UX/UI designers to create intuitive user interfaces.
