ServiceNow Technical Consultant – Core Business Workflows

As a ServiceNow Technical Consultant specializing in Core Business workflows, you will join a dynamic team in a fast-paced consulting environment dedicated to helping clients solve complex challenges and achieve exceptional results. You will play a key role in developing, configuring, and optimizing ServiceNow solutions across HR Service Delivery (HRSD), Source-to-Pay Operations, Legal Service Delivery (LSD), and Workplace Service Delivery (WSD), as well as adjacent employee and enterprise workflows. You bring both technical depth and a strong understanding of HR, procurement, legal, and shared-services business processes to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions that meet customer needs. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow applications across HRSD, Source-to-Pay, Legal Service Delivery, Workplace Service Delivery, and related core business workflows, including forms, workflows, portals, and automation scripts. 
  • Build and extend employee-facing experiences using Employee Center, Service Portal, and Now Mobile. 
  • Configure HRSD capabilities such as HR case and knowledge management, lifecycle events, journeys, employee document management, and integrations with HRIS platforms. 
  • Implement Source-to-Pay and procurement workflows, including sourcing, supplier management, and ERP integrations. 
  • Integrate ServiceNow with enterprise systems such as HRIS, ERP, payroll, e-signature, and contract management platforms. 
  • Research and recommend optimal technical approaches to achieve desired outcomes in alignment with ServiceNow best practices. 
  • Conduct unit testing, assist with UAT, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, maintainable solutions. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during development and deployment phases. 
  • Stay current with ServiceNow platform updates, releases, and emerging capabilities. 
  • Collaborate closely with Solution Architects, Business Process Consultants, and Engagement Managers to align technical solutions with business goals. 
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of development standards, reusable components, and delivery methodologies. 

Experience: 

  • 2+ distinct ServiceNow deployments, including at least one in HRSD, Source-to-Pay, Legal Service Delivery, Workplace Service Delivery, or a related core business workflow (e.g., CSM). 
  • 3+ years of experience in ServiceNow development, configuration, or administration within a consulting or enterprise environment. 
  • Experience partnering with HR, procurement, legal, or shared-services stakeholders to translate business process requirements into platform solutions. 
  • Demonstrated experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery methodologies. 
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow’s NowCreate implementation framework preferred. 
  • Industry experience in Energy & Utilities, Healthcare, or Manufacturing is a plus. 

Skills: 

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required. 
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) required. 
  • At least one Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certification in a core business workflow preferred, such as CIS–HRSD, CIS–Source-to-Pay Operations, CIS–CSM, or equivalent (Legal Service Delivery and Workplace Service Delivery experience highly valued). 
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related web technologies. 
  • Experience building and maintaining integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, or Flow Designer. 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly. 
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, and thrive in a collaborative team environment. 

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required. 

The estimated salary range for this role is $105k-150K annually. This is based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skillset and years and depth of experience. This may differ from location to location. Bonuses and other incentives are awarded at the Company’s discretion and are based upon individual contributions and overall company performance.
