About the Role:

The Marketing team at PitchBook is critical to fueling the company’s growth by utilizing a variety of strategies to increase brand awareness and help our Sales and Customer Success teams grow and retain our client base. The Marketing team is responsible for all demand generation efforts including successful campaign, ABM, and digital channel executions, effective product and customer marketing efforts, strategy-optimizing data and analytics, and engaging client and trade-show events. The Marketing team also drives the brand forward via impactful public relations and management of our dynamic sports partnerships.

The PitchBook Marketing team is looking for a highly creative and passionate Marketing Manager to develop and drive PitchBook’s marketing strategy and execution in Singapore and the greater APAC region. This role requires a strong balance of creativity and refined execution, so we are looking for a candidate who is eager to experiment, explore new tactics and continually improve our ability to connect with our customers. As the sole marketer in the office, this role requires a strong balance of creativity, strategic thinking, and hands-on execution across a variety of marketing initiatives, including brand awareness tactics, conferences, webinars, speaking engagements, and client engagement programs.

The right candidate will be at their best working in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment while exhibiting ownership over an aggressive roadmap of marketing opportunities. Important to this role is the ability to work effectively across various internal teams by building trust and managing others through influence to build a complementary online and offline approach to connecting with our customers.

 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute experiential marketing activations and events in Singapore and across APAC, ensuring a balance of strategic alignment and executional excellence
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure visibility and an understanding of each activation/event while clearly defining why it matters for the Sales and Customer Success team
  • Develop an intimate understanding of the Customer Success workflow and systems so that pre and post execution activities are designed to connect our teams directly with their clients in the most efficient way possible
  • Manage communication between Sales and Customer Success to ensure effective event staffing, preparation, and training
  • Develop a deep understanding of the PitchBook brand and culture ensuring brand execution through messaging, design, and overall event experience
  • Execute on annual high-end customer events in Singapore, including customer golf tournaments, soccer tournaments, and other highly interactive engagements
  • Support webinar strategy and execution designed to drive lead generation, educate our client base, and strengthen our brand position
  • Support execution of APAC conferences designed to drive lead generation and strengthen our brand position
  • Serve as a bridge between regional needs and global marketing initiatives, ensuring APAC marketing efforts align with PitchBook’s broader strategy
  • Evaluate, measure, budget, and report on strategic effectiveness of customer programs
  • Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
  • Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing or related field
  • 8+ years of relevant relevant professional experience in Marketing, Events, and/or Demand Generation, preferably within APAC markets
  • A team player with the ability to work independently in a regional office while maintaining strong collaboration with global teams
  • Relentlessly high standards and demonstrated ability to create successful marketing-driven event programs
  • Ability to work on a global team across time-zones
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Detail oriented and deadline driven
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Technically savvy with experience with Marketo, Salesforce, Sendoso, Splash, or other similar marketing programs preferred
  • Experience working with vendors including contract negotiation and management
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily

Working Conditions:

We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that it’s helpful to have some flexibility to work remotely. Most roles work in the office 3+ days/week, and some are expected to work in the office 4-5 days/week. The current expectation for this role is that you are working in the office 3+ days/week and that you are in the office full-time during the training period, for which the length varies by role. During an initial phone screen, the team will discuss expectations for this specific position.

The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
