The PitchBook Product team is seeking a leader to join our Data Strategy team. This leader will be responsible for setting the direction and driving results for credit data at PitchBook. This requires a deep understanding and experience with credit markets, particularly in how credit data is collected, captured, displayed, and used by clients. You will work closely with our Data Operations, Technology, Marketing, Sales, and other Product teams to define the product strategy, develop roadmaps, and drive new user engagement through delivering intuitive and seamless product improvements.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Be the authoritative point person on your dataset, demonstrating exceptional knowledge of the data and capabilities needed by our clients
- Manage and develop a high-performing team of analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Actively define the product roadmap for your dataset, prioritize the backlog, and create business cases to outline new strategic product opportunities
- Champion client needs, pain points, and business opportunities across the organization and develop a shared understanding of the product area vision
- Compile market intelligence on the competitive position of your dataset and driving internal communication of those findings throughout the organization
- Work closely with the Data Operations team in Mumbai, helping to set and hit quality, efficiency, and timeliness goals needed for the success of your dataset
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with your team and other stakeholders to provide updates on project progress, address roadblocks, and celebrate wins
- Provide training and ramping support to new members of the team, both locally and abroad
- Act as a subject matter expert on calls with clients and prospects when required
- Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
- Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, or related field. CFA charter holder strongly preferred
- 10+ years of previous experience with credit markets
- 5+ years in a leadership roles, managing teams and leading strategic initiatives
- Exemplary verbal and written communication skills and comfortable engaging with a diverse array of audiences
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented attitude and can work effectively as an individual or as part of a team
- Strong bias for action and willingness to roll up your sleeves and do what is necessary to meet team goals
- Ability to leverage analytics and data to drive product decision making
- Interest in financial markets or services
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily

Compensation
- Annual base salary: $175,000-$200,000
- Target annual bonus percentage: 15%
*Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location.
Working Conditions:
We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that it’s helpful to have some flexibility to work remotely. Most roles work in the office 3+ days/week, and some are expected to work in the office 4-5 days/week. The current expectation for this role is that you are working in the office 4+ days/week and that you are in the office full-time during the training period, for which the length varies by role. During an initial phone screen, the team will discuss expectations for this specific position.
The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
