As a Senior IT Product Owner, you will drive the strategy, development, and continuous improvement of enterprise technology solutions supporting electric utility operations. Working closely with business leaders, technical teams, vendors, and external partners, you'll define product vision, manage product roadmaps, and ensure technology solutions align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

This role is ideal for an experienced Product Owner or Product Manager who enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams, shaping product direction, and delivering technology solutions that improve operational performance.

Your Day-to-Day Activities

• Define and maintain the product vision, roadmap, and strategic direction for assigned technology solutions
• Act as Product Owner by managing priorities, refining product backlogs, and supporting Agile delivery teams
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize enhancements, and align product capabilities with operational needs
• Collaborate with technical teams, vendors, and external organizations to support product development and implementation
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve business processes and user experience
• Analyze industry trends, regulatory requirements, and market developments to guide product strategy
• Support product design, testing, implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Facilitate cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment between business and technology teams
• Develop business cases, product documentation, and executive presentations
• Monitor product performance, user feedback, and adoption metrics to identify opportunities for enhancement
• Support governance, compliance, and change management activities throughout the product lifecycle

The Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise technology products, business systems, or digital solutions
• 3+ years of experience serving as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Systems Analyst, or similar role
• Experience managing product backlogs, roadmaps, and feature prioritization
• Strong understanding of Agile product development methodologies
• Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

You'll Stand Out If You Have

• Experience supporting electric utility, energy, infrastructure, or regulated industries
• Experience working with enterprise applications supporting transmission, generation, or grid operations
• Scrum Product Owner, SAFe Product Owner, PMP, or Agile certifications
• Experience collaborating with software vendors and third-party technology providers
• Knowledge of regulatory or compliance-driven technology environments
• Experience leading cross-functional product teams
• MBA or Master's degree in Business, Engineering, or Computer Science
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or other Agile product management tools
