Software Engineer in Test

The Position:

We are looking for an experienced Automation Test Engineer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts and frameworks to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of our software applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, test automation, and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Test Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts and test frameworks for web and mobile applications using industry-standard test automation tools and technologies.
• Test Planning: Collaborate with the quality assurance team to create detailed test plans, test cases, and test data sets based on project requirements and specifications.
• Regression Testing: Execute automated regression tests to ensure that existing functionality remains intact after new software changes or updates.
• Performance Testing: Conduct performance and load testing to identify bottlenecks, scalability issues, and to ensure optimal system performance.
• API Testing: Create and execute automated API tests to validate data exchange between different components of the software.
• Continuous Integration: Integrate automated test scripts into the continuous integration (CI) pipeline for regular, automated test execution.
• Test Reporting: Generate and maintain test reports, including test execution results, defect reports, and progress reports, for various stakeholders.
• Quality Assurance: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the software under test meets specified quality standards.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of automated test scripts, test procedures, and best practices.

Role Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience as an Automation Test Engineer, with a strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
• Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, etc.).
• Experience in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, Ruby).
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
• Familiarity with agile and Scrum development methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
