Director of Strategic Operations

The Position:

As the Director of Strategy Operations at Placements.io, you will be instrumental in driving the strategic initiatives and operational excellence that underpin our growth and success. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and optimize processes that enhance efficiency, productivity, and scalability. Your strategic vision and operational expertise will be crucial in aligning our business objectives with actionable plans.

 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to define and execute the company’s strategic goals, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market opportunities.
  • Operational Excellence: Design, implement, and optimize operational processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness across the organization. Identify and resolve bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
  • Project Management: Lead cross-functional projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic goals. Develop project plans, allocate resources, and track progress.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
  • GTM Planning: Develop and execute go-to-market strategies that align with product launches and business objectives, ensuring successful market entry and adoption.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Provide leadership and support to ensure high performance.
  • Change Management: Lead change management initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and adoption of new processes and technologies. Communicate changes effectively to all stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and collaboration on strategic initiatives.
  • Budget Management: Oversee budget planning and management for strategic initiatives, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with financial goals.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in strategic operations, management consulting, or a similar role within a technology or SaaS company.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent project management skills with a track record of successfully leading cross-functional projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives that drive business growth and efficiency.
  • Experience in developing and executing go-to-market (GTM) strategies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in using project management tools and software (e.g., Asana, Trello, JIRA).
  • Experience in the ad tech or media industry is a plus.

Compensation:

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of many compensation, benefits and other reward opportunities we provide.

The expected base salary range for this role in the selected city:

New York City, NY - $175,000- $200,000 USD

The base salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, qualifications, education, work location, and other business and organizational needs.
