Decal & Light Cleaning Specialist 

The Decal & Light Cleaning Specialist gets devices ready for their next life. You’ll apply and remove decals, labels, and asset tags, perform light cosmetic cleaning, and inspect each unit before it moves to the next production stage. The condition and presentation of every device you touch shape how our clients see refurbished technology, so care and consistency matter. (This is a temp-to-perm role with a 90-day conversion) 

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: 

• Label and tag assets. Apply company or customer-specific decals, logos, barcodes, and asset tags with correct placement and consistency. 
• Apply custom branding. Install decals or skins to client specifications for school districts, corporations, and resellers. 
• Remove old markings. Take off prior company labels, security stickers, and school district IDs without damaging device surfaces. 
• Clean and sanitize. Clean keyboards, screens, and hardware on laptops, tablets, and other devices using approved materials and methods. 
• Inspect for quality. Check each unit for cleanliness, cosmetic condition, and label accuracy. Labels should be straight, clean, and match PlanITROI or client standards. 
• Flag issues. Report scratches, cracks, or other cosmetic damage that needs repair before the device moves forward. 
• Document your work. Record decal applications and removals accurately in our inventory system to keep asset tracking complete. 
• Keep a safe workstation. Maintain a clean, organized area that follows safety, ESD, and handling guidelines. 
• Hit your targets. Meet daily production and quality goals. 
• Work as a team. Coordinate with production, audit, and quality control to keep work flowing.

• Ability to follow written standards and specifications accurately  
• Basic computer skills for scanning and data entry 
• Reliable attendance and punctuality 
• Warehouse or production experience is a plus   

Physical Requirements 

• Stand or sit at a workstation for extended periods 
• Repetitive hand and finger movements 
• Lift up to 50 lbs. 
• Work with approved cleaning solutions and adhesive removers
