DWH Data Pipelines Team
We are seeking a skilled Engineering Manager to lead a specialized Data Pipelines team focused on building and optimizing our data ingestion and transformation processes.
You will guide a team of specialists responsible for extracting data from various sources and loading it into our modern data infrastructure, currently centered around Snowflake.
This role involves hands-on technical leadership in defining and implementing robust data pipelines using cutting-edge tools and technologies.
You will spearhead the evolution of our data pipelines, potentially integrating with an on-premise Lake House architecture in the future.
 
Challenges that await you:
  • Lead and mentor a team of data engineers and SRE, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of data warehouse solutions, focusing on data pipelines from extraction to loading in Snowflake and the Lake House, using Golang.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to develop and optimize data pipelines.
  • Drive the migration process from open-source and legacy systems, ensuring minimal disruption.
  • Monitor and ensure the performance and stability of data pipelines.
  • Assist in the documentation of data warehouse architecture and processes.
  • Collaborate with the Architect (Tech Lead) to gather and define technical requirements.
  • Conduct strategic planning and analysis to optimize data pipeline performance and efficiency.
  • Manage communication with other teams to ensure seamless data integration and flow.
  • Oversee incident control and take responsibility for the reliability and stability of data pipelines within the DWH.

 

What makes you a great fit:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
  • Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Airflow, DBT).
  • Familiarity with data integration and processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Kafka, Apache Kafka Connect).
  • Solid understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
  • Proven experience in leading data engineering teams.
  • Strong technical expertise in Golang and data pipeline development.
  • Open mind for problem-solving and good troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • B1 or higher English level for effective communication with an international team
