
Data Analyst [SME Credit Risk]
- Research and establish partnerships with key data providers in Mexico, including credit bureaus, tax authorities, and alternative data sources to create a comprehensive information ecosystem for SME lending
- Develop and maintain analytical data marts based on external data sources that can be efficiently utilized in credit scoring models
- Lead negotiations with data providers to optimize data quality, cost, and integration processes
- Design and implement data pipelines for processing and analyzing information from multiple sources
- Collaborate with data scientists and risk teams to translate raw data into valuable insights for credit scoring models and lending strategies
- Analyze the competitive landscape of SME lending in Mexico, identifying innovative data utilization approaches
- Participate in developing and refining the company's SME credit strategy based on data-driven insights
- Monitor data quality and compliance with relevant regulations for all external data sources
- 2-3 years of experience in data analysis and credit risk assessment, advantageous if in the context of SME or business lending
- Strong technical skills with SQL, Python, and data visualization tools
- Understanding of machine learning principles and their application in credit scoring and classification problems
- Experience working with external data providers, credit bureaus, or alternative data sources
- Knowledge of the Mexican financial market and regulatory environment is a plus
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills to engage with data providers and internal stakeholders
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
- B2 or higher English level for effective communication with an international team
