Job Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced Expenses Control and Analysis Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data related to operational expenses within the company. You will also be involved in forecasting and planning expenses, creating financial models in Excel, proposing cost optimization strategies, developing expense control policies, calculating payroll, preparing regular expense reports for management, calculating customer acquisition costs, customer servicing costs, developing driver-based sales funnel models, as well as developing and implementing Activity-Based Costing (ABC) and allocation systems, and developing requirements for the IT team to automate the expense tracking and analysis process.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting:

  • Prepare regular expense reports for management, highlighting key insights and variances.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Collect and analyze data on operational expenses:

  • Gather and consolidate expense data from various sources within the company.
  • Ensure data accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of expense patterns and trends.

Forecasting and planning:

  • Assist in the development of expense forecasts and budgets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather input and validate projections.
  • Monitor actual expenses against forecasts and identify areas of variance.

Financial modeling:

  • Build and maintain financial models in Excel to support expense analysis.
  • Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to assess the impact of different variables on expenses.

Cost optimization:

  • Identify opportunities for expense reduction and efficiency improvement.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of implemented measures and recommend adjustments as needed.

Expense control policies:

  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of expense control policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulatory requirements.

Payroll Analysis:

  • Conduct plan-fact variance analysis for payroll and employee benefits expenses, identifying key deviations and cost drivers.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure accurate payroll cost planning, aligning with the company’s budget strategy.

Customer acquisition cost (CAC) and servicing costs:

  • Calculate the cost of acquiring new customers by analyzing marketing and sales expenses.
  • Determine the cost of servicing existing customers, including support, maintenance, and account management expenses.

Sales funnel analysis:

  • Develop driver-based models to understand the cost implications at each stage of the sales funnel.
  • Analyze conversion rates, lead generation costs, and sales expenses to optimize resource allocation and improve overall efficiency.

Activity-Based Costing (ABC) and allocation systems:

  • Design and implement an ABC costing system to allocate expenses to specific activities or cost drivers.
  • Develop and enhance allocation methodologies to allocate shared expenses across business units or departments accurately.IT requirements for expense tracking and analysis automation:
  • Collaborate with the IT team to identify opportunities for automating the expense tracking and analysis process.
  • Develop comprehensive requirements for IT systems, tools, and processes to streamline expense data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Work closely with the IT team to ensure successful implementation and integration of the automation solutions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in expense control, analysis, and financial planning.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
  • Familiarity with payroll calculations and related regulations.
  • Knowledge of expense control policies and best practices.
  • Good proficiency in English
  • Experience in Procurify is a plus
