Why you'll want to come to work:

In this high-impact role, you’ll lead a team to create and deliver compelling 3D and 2D animated video ads that will acquire players for our latest hit game that has already proven its product-market fit. You’ll be owning the end-to-end production process from concept to execution and work will be pivotal in accelerating Treasure Party’s growth in a competitive landscape.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Execution: Lead the creative team to produce and deliver compelling 3D and 2D animated video ad creatives and playables to drive player acquisition
  • Ideation: Establish & maintain effective process for storyboard ideation, creation, and review. Facilitate productive communication and alignment with stakeholders.
  • Process Building: Implement and drive streamlined project management solution & schedule for our creative team, including critical milestones for feedback and revisions. Assess and communicate costs and timelines throughout the ad production cycle.
  • Quality Assurance: Work cross-functionally to set quality standards for creative assets, including game capture, 3D character animation models, and creative specs. Establish process for effective and efficient adherence to quality standards 
  • Pipeline Development: Establish & enhance 3D and 2D animation pipelines. Set cost & quality standard that needs to be met
  • Meet Business Objectives: Come up with formulas for winning ads by conducting competitive research and working with the acquisition team to understand and translate creative test results. Ensure that formulas are scalable.
  • Optimize Team Structure & Performance: Manage team budget, including scoping projects, hours, and tools. Identify skill gaps and build team structure to meet business objectives and performance goals. 
  • Tool Development: Own the development of our toolkit by identifying production gaps and driving effective solutions. Champion innovative tool solutions such as AI. Create and maintain central hub for all tool and process documentation
  • Collaborate Cross-functionally: Champion alignment and partnership across Player Acquisition and Game teams to ensure clarity on project goals and deliverables. Collaborate closely with key stakeholders to define strategic objectives, foster innovation, and maintain seamless communication throughout the entire production cycle.
  • Asset Management: Oversee the organization and upkeep of a centralized creative asset library, ensuring easy accessibility, version control, and consistent adherence to quality standards.

What you'll bring to the team: 

  • Education: BA degree in a relevant field of study
  • Experience: 12+ years in art production or project management, ideally within player acquisition teams in the mobile gaming industry 
  • Expertise: Knowledge of art production methodologies and tools, especially in 2D and 3D animation.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Skilled in engaging with executive leadership to secure buy-in and drive alignment. Proven track record of working seamlessly with both creative and analytical professionals—artists, developers, and growth marketers alike. Expertise in translating business objectives into clear, actionable creative direction.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premier, etc) and relevant plug-ins, emerging visual AI tools. Familiarity with 3D animation tools such as Blender
  • Project Management: Expertise in agile methodologies to monitor progress, mitigate risks, and ensure projects meet deadlines and budget targets. Strong collaborator with key stakeholders to optimize workflows, resolve conflicts, and keep initiatives on track for successful delivery.
  • Problem-solving: Analytical and solution-driven approach, with a strong emphasis on identifying the root cause of issues and working towards measurable improvements.
  • Strategic Foresight: Ability to anticipate potential outcomes and prevent unforeseen challenges. A mindset of productive paranoia to stay ahead of risks and enable effective, forward-thinking decision-making.
  • Leadership: Proven ability managing a team of artists, animators, and motion designers to deliver high-quality marketing creative that drives business results.

At PlayQ, we leverage competitive benchmarking data when setting each role’s base pay range. Individual base salary will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, scope of role, business need and geographic location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.

$130,000-$180,000 USD

  • This role is open to remote employees located in select US states including California, Washington, Nevada, Texas, Florida, Pennsylvania, New York and Georgia.
  • This role is offered as a full time position.
