About this position

Manages a diverse team to develop, implement and execute a robust communications strategy that reaches Plexus Ambassadors, Preferred Customers and Retail Customers, as well as the public. This role is responsible for broadening the organization’s brand reputation and influence through multiple communication touchpoints including product drip campaigns, and business to Ambassador communications. This role is responsible for executing Sales & Marketing strategy with tactical precision, supporting product launches, incentives, promotions, international growth and event campaigns with industry-leading communications plans. This role is responsible for setting clear goals for the external and internal communications teams to morph individual tactics and channels into a powerful, unified strategy. Oversees the Internal Communication team, to strategize and optimize employee communications connecting team members to the company mission and vision by bringing our values to life, communicating about products and initiatives, and elevating the employee experience. This role is also responsible for communication innovation, using data and analytics to drive changes in strategy, while managing other points of feedback from external and internal sources.

What you'll do

  • You set the vision, strategy, and goals for the entire communications team.
  • You establish communication plans and campaigns for Marketing and Sales teams.
  • You implement and execute an industry-leading communications process within team, while collaborating on processes with other cross-functional teams.
  • You set the strategy and direction for messages to all audiences, managing competing interests and departmental resources.
  • With direct reports, you address identified opportunities by defining omnichannel marketing strategies that improve the Ambassador and customer experience through relevancy and value.
  • You develop metrics and tools to assess progress against the department’s strategic plan.
  • You analyze reporting data, using metrics to adjust communication plans and processes.
  • You report on metrics/results for communications and identify improvements and opportunities available.
  • You collaborate with other Sales and Marketing and Communications leadership to execute cross-functional campaigns.
  • You champion departmental goals with department projects that increase brand awareness and engagement.
  • You offer alternative and creative solutions, using data and knowledge of best practices to accelerate progress and achieve company goals.
  • You establish departmental plans, roles and responsibilities including hiring as appropriate. Champion the communications team, alleviating pain points and delivering tools where appropriate.
  • You recommend and execute vendor contracts and manage ongoing deliverables produced by partner organizations.
  • You remain laser-focused on the organization's recruiting and retention goals, offering support through superior communication.
  • You support brand guidelines across all communication channels.

You should have

  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business or equivalent related experience.
  • You have 8 years of experience leading communications and/or marketing teams.
  • You have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Manager with Direct reports.
  • You have the ability to work off-hours with occasional evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Experience in the Multi-level-Marketing/Direct Sales industry is preferred.
  • You have experience managing teams globally.
  • You have a strong understanding of brand communications and messaging platforms.
