Role Summary

As a Field Development Specialist for the Mexico Market, this role is accountable for driving measurable market growth, leadership development, and field engagement across assigned cities and territories. Success is defined by building trust with the field, developing leaders, increasing retention, and executing high-impact events and initiatives that grow the Mexico business.

This is a high-autonomy, work-from-home role in a fast-paced environment requiring strong self-motivation, coachability, and a servant-leader mindset. The Field Development Specialist does not “manage” the field—but serves, equips, and enables Ambassadors to succeed, knowing that their success directly drives Plexus’ success.

Key Performance Objectives

Within the first 12–24 months, the Field Development Specialist will:

  • Drive measurable growth in assigned development cities and local sales communities, evidenced by increased engagement, attendance, and market momentum.
  • Advance and strengthen existing leadership, helping leaders grow in skill, confidence, and effectiveness.
  • Establish strong trust-based relationships with key field leaders and Ambassadors, becoming a valued partner and resource.
  • Increase field engagement and retention by aligning initiatives, promotions, and training with Mexico Market needs.
  • Consistently execute events and initiatives on time, on brand, and within budget, delivering clear value to the field.

 

Results-Oriented Accountabilities

Strategic Market Growth

  • Partner with Mexico Leadership to develop and execute a strategic growth plan for the Mexico Market, including development cities and leadership pipelines.
  • Translate strategy into actionable plans that produce visible and measurable progress.

Event Planning & Execution

  • Lead the planning, promotion, and execution of Mexico Opportunity meetings and trainings (in-person and virtual).
  • Own event calendars, attendance-driving strategies, logistics, vendor coordination, and post-event follow-up.
  • Ensure events are aligned with brand standards, field objectives, and approved budgets.

Field Leadership Development

  • Build deep trust and credibility with field leadership through active listening, thoughtful questioning, coaching, and practical training.
  • Identify field challenges and implement effective strategies to help leaders achieve their goals.
  • Find, develop, and support Ambassadors who can serve as market leaders and trainers.

Tools, Training & Market Adaptation

  • Identify gaps in Spanish-language tools and training.
  • Partner with Marketing to develop or adapt culturally relevant Core tools and resources for the Mexican market.
  • Help educate field leaders on how to effectively present and develop the Mexico Market opportunity across open markets.

Process Improvement & Operations

  • Identify inefficiencies or opportunity areas within projects and drive solutions.
  • Develop and document SOPs for Mexico Market Field Development responsibilities to improve consistency and scalability.
  • Use dashboards, reports, and KPIs to track progress and inform decisions.

Collaboration & Flexibility

  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Service teams in Mexico.
  • Travel to Mexico Market events as needed, including main events and development city initiatives.
  • Work flexible hours, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support business needs.

Performance Qualifications (What Enables Success)
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience with a proven ability to drive results.
  • Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
  • Confident, engaging, articulate, and persuasive communicator with strong stage presence.
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with Ambassadors, customers, and internal partners.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to execute on dashboards, reports, and KPIs.
  • Exceptional follow-up and follow-through.
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong working knowledge of company policies, procedures, and marketing plans.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed KPIs.
  • Collaborative, solutions-oriented, and effective in cross-functional environments.
  • Proactive planner who anticipates obstacles and communicates clearly.
