ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an Amazon Advertising Specialist who will be responsible for driving advertising performance and growth across a portfolio of brands on Amazon. This is a hands-on, client-facing position focused on building, managing and optimizing campaigns, analyzing performance data, and identifying opportunities to improve results. The role owns day-to-day advertising execution, including campaign strategy, keyword targeting, bidding, budget management and ongoing optimization, while partnering closely with clients to communicate performance and recommendations. Success requires balancing the details of campaign execution with a broader understanding of each brand’s business goals to deliver measurable, sustainable growth.
WHAT YOU’LL OWN
- Own Amazon advertising strategy and execution for a book of client accounts across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and Amazon DSP.
- Build, structure, and optimize Sponsored Ads campaigns, including keyword and ASIN targeting, search term harvesting and negation, bid and budget management, and placement adjustments.
- Plan, launch, and manage Amazon DSP campaigns across the funnel, including audience strategy, prospecting and retargeting, and inventory selection.
- Use Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC) to answer questions the ad consoles can’t, such as path to conversion, new-to-brand, reach and frequency, and Sponsored Ads/DSP overlap, and turn those insights into audiences and optimizations.
- Monitor account performance daily against client KPIs (e.g., ROAS, ACoS, TACoS, CPA, new-to-brand, total sales growth) and act quickly on what you find.
- Own the advertising relationship on client calls: lead regular performance discussions, present recommendations, and set clear expectations on what media can deliver.
- Build and present quarterly business reviews, forecasts, and budget recommendations for each account in your book.
- Recommend budget allocation across Sponsored Ads and DSP based on performance data and client goals.
- Break down performance by meaningful segments (e.g., branded vs. non-branded, product line, new-to-brand) to find where spend is working and where it isn’t.
- Design and run structured tests on bidding, placements, targeting, and creative, and document the results for the team.
- Partner with internal and external creative teams on ad assets, and flag listing or retail-readiness issues that hold back ad performance.
- Stay current on Amazon Ads product releases and industry trends, and share what you learn with the team.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- 2–4 years of hands-on Amazon Advertising experience, ideally managing multiple brands at an agency.
- Strong working knowledge of Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display, plus hands-on Amazon DSP campaign management.
- Working knowledge of Amazon Marketing Cloud; ability to write or adapt SQL queries is a strong plus.
- A track record of improving KPIs such as ROAS, TACoS, new-to-brand, and total sales growth for the brands you’ve managed.
- Confidence leading client conversations and presenting performance and recommendations to brand stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools to speed up analysis, reporting, and campaign management, and curiosity about where AI can improve how ad accounts are run.
- Excellent organization and the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines at once.
- Amazon Ads certifications (Sponsored Ads, DSP, AMC) are a plus.
