About Us:
Pluckers is a 32-unit restaurant chain based in Texas. We plan to continue to aggressively grow in Texas and throughout the United States over the coming years.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs recruitment activities such as evaluating and scheduling candidates for select positions.
- Coordinates new-employee onboarding; verifies paperwork accuracy, testing requirements, review of I9 documentation and paperwork.
- Processes all new hires, terminations, transfers, and all other employee changes. Maintains human resource information system (HRIS) records and compiles reports from the database as needed.
- Acts as a resource for store contacts to ensure their understanding and compliance with benefits and HR policies and regulations. Keeps management advised of potential problem areas and recommends/implements solutions as appropriate.
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
- Manages online and physical employee records.
- Assists with reference checks and launches exit interviews.
- Conducts quarterly audits of employee records as well as other HR programs/processes and recommends any corrective action.
- Works in sync with Payroll to update employee information, conduct employment verifications, and process associated paperwork.
- Preparation and compilation of performance reviews for restaurant management.
- Assists HR Director and HR Manager with various research projects and/or special projects.
- Assists or prepares correspondence and performs other duties as required and assigned.
Hours & Work Environment
- Full-time, Monday-Friday.
- This role is hybrid, based in Houston, with weekly field visits to area restaurants, and occasional travel to Austin. After a training period, remote work opportunities are available 40% of the time.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, and 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a retail/restaurant environment preferred.
- Must have computer skills and the ability to learn an HRIS system. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and understand Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Professional presence; superior verbal/written skills and presentation skills.
- Good punctuation, spelling, grammar, and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and self-disciplined. Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Salary Description
$55-$65k per year, dependent on experience
