Facilities Supervisor

Plum Dental - Rhode Island

Job Title: Facilities Supervisor
Department: Facilities
Reports To: Director of Facilities and Procurement
FLSA Status: Exempt

About Plum Dental Group (“Plum”)

Plum is a dynamic, high growth Dental Partnership Organization (DPO) with 30+ locations in RI and eastern CT supporting over 350 total employees. The Company's affiliated dental practices provide comprehensive general, specialty and cosmetic dental care to over 80,000 patients annually. As a DPO, we are responsible for managing all administrative support functions of the dental practices including marketing, facilities, HR, insurance, accounting, billing, etc. so that dentists can focus on treating patients and not have to worry about the nuts and bolts of running or maintaining a practice

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join a small, young team of entrepreneurial-minded people that are trying to think differently about providing dental care to patients and about creating a long-term home for good dentists that align with our values. The Company is seven years old and is growing rapidly, providing significant opportunity for advancement for hard workers that work well as part of our team. You will take on meaningful ownership of day-to-day facilities operations across our Rhode Island practices, reporting directly to the Senior Director of Facilities and Procurement, while collaborating extensively with the rest of the operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced facilities professional to play a critical role in supporting a well-run, high growth, multi-site services business.

Plum's headquarters in Warwick, RI serves as a home base for the administration team members, while the operations team are usually in the dental practices throughout RI and eastern CT.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills are essential — this role requires staying on top of multiple open items across sites and following up proactively with vendors, staff, and leadership until issues are resolved; project management experience a significant plus

  • Ability to occasionally lift 50-75 lbs.

  • Familiarity with Word, Excel, Outlook and ability/willingness to adopt new technologies; comfort with learning and managing a comprehensive VOIP phone system
  • Comfort with taking initiative and making decisions/recommendations
  • This role is primarily based in Rhode Island, with very occasional travel to our practices in eastern Connecticut, and eventually southern Massachusetts as we expand
  • Ambition, confidence, humility, empathy, sense of humor, team work; interest in eventually taking over the Facilities Manager role
