Team Overview 

PMA’s marketing team builds lasting, authentic relationships with current and future clients. The dynamic and growing team’s vision is to be a quantitative driver of PMA revenue and manages all aspects of the marketing mix, including branding, business development strategy and enablement, media relations, content marketing, and product marketing.

Job Summary 

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Marketing Coordinator to support the team’s multi-faceted business development (BD) enablement and sector marketing activities and initiatives. Within the BD enablement vertical, this role will support and execute the creation of high-impact materials and projects to effectively pursue and close new business opportunities. Within the sector marketing vertical, this role will assist a Marketing Director with the execution of compelling campaigns to position PMA as full-lifecycle real estate experts in healthcare, residential, hospitality, and life sciences sectors. The role will also assist with brand marketing and team operations initiatives as bandwidth allows.

The right candidate will recognize the significance of showcasing results, utilizing agile processes and tools to enhance speed and efficiency, fostering collaboration across different departments, prioritizing the client’s point of view, and embracing an experimental and learning-oriented approach. This role requires four days in the Chicago office, with one optional work from home day each week.

Your Responsibility 

  • Business Development Enablement Support
    • Assist with the execution of proposal responses, including working with the pursuit team on responsibilities and timelines, drafting proposals, gathering information, and assembling and formatting proposal with minimal oversight.
    • Collaborate with internal pursuit teams on interview efforts including presentation and materials creation, team coordination, and participating in team preparation sessions.
    • Update and produce credential materials including project sheets, resumes, and qualification packages.
    • Contribute to the development of copy, marketing materials, and website initiatives that effectively support business development initiatives.
  • Sector Marketing Support
    • Support the creation of thematic content campaigns by designing social media images in Canva, writing promotional assets, creating thought leadership pieces by aggregating articles and collaborating with an external designer, and actively participating in sector-related team meetings.
    • Publish sector-related materials, news, and articles on the PMA website.
    • Gather and analyze key performance data from marketing campaigns, providing regular reports on metrics to support decision-making and optimize future efforts.
    • Lead event coordination and execution for both industry events as well as PMA-hosted sector events. 
  • Miscellaneous
    • Have strategic and execution ownership of PMA’s Linkedin efforts, including writing posts and creating images to promote brand media coverage, sector campaigns, and employer brand initiatives.
    • Conduct industry, market, and prospective client research

Your Values and Skills

  • 3+ years of full-time experience in marketing or communications.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
  • Digital marketing expertise, such as website optimization, social media strategy, and content marketing.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating and managing proposal efforts.
  • Strong organizational, planning and project management skills and the ability to coordinate activities for various team members with fast-paced deadlines.
  • Great writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign, Canva, and a creative eye for design.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Resourceful, with a “can-do” and team-oriented attitude.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to remain nimble while contributing to a growing and experimenting marketing team.
  • Ability to grasp overarching marketing strategy.

Qualification Preference

  • Experience within the AEC industry.
  • Experience with CRM, knowledge management portals, and online collaboration tools.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Understanding of events/conference elements and ideas for how to activate event presence.
