What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop and maintain complex data transformations and aggregations using SQL and dbt’s Jinja templating language.
- Design and optimize data architectures to support analytics and business intelligence initiatives.
- Build and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards, delivering data visualizations that drive actionable insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, understand business challenges, and deliver tailored data solutions.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across platforms to meet internal stakeholder needs.
- Build and maintain data warehouse systems, ensuring accessibility and usability for analytics teams.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Work with both structured and unstructured data from various sources, making it accessible and meaningful.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in dbt, data engineering practices, and relevant technologies.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of building and optimizing data pipelines.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Jinja within a dbt environment to develop, optimize, and manage data workflows.
- Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools to create clear, actionable insights.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS/Redshift or Snowflake for scalable data solutions.
- Strong understanding of database design, data warehousing principles, and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for efficient and reliable deployment workflows.
- Knowledge of modern data engineering tools and frameworks, including Apache Spark, Airflow, or Kafka, to manage and process large datasets.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, ensuring data accuracy and system reliability.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and functions to deliver impactful solutions.
- Familiarity with the digital marketing industry and its unique data challenges.
- Certifications in cloud platforms such as AWS Certified Data Analytics or Snowflake Certification.
- Experience implementing data security best practices, including encryption and access controls.
