Who You Will Be Working With

At PMG, Strategy & Insights is about connecting the dots between data, creativity, and culture to build stronger, more resonant brands. As Director of Brand & Creative Strategy, you’ll lead the charge in translating deep audience insight into bold brand platforms, campaign narratives, and creative strategies that fuel lasting growth.

You’ll work closely with creative, media, and client strategy teams to shape how brands show up in the world—guiding everything from brand positioning and messaging frameworks to campaign architecture and integrated storytelling. Whether facilitating workshops, analyzing the competitive landscape, or developing go-to-market strategies, your work will help brands find their voice, connect with purpose, and drive meaningful engagement across channels.

This role goes beyond traditional brand planning. You’ll help bridge strategy and execution, offering sharp, insight-led guidance to integrated agency teams (IATs) while mentoring others to think bigger, push creative boundaries, and elevate the work at every touchpoint.

What You Will Do

  • Lead integrated agency teams (IATs) with confidence and clarity—bringing deep strategic acumen to brand and creative planning processes.
  • Champion the value of Brand & Creative Strategy across the organization, establishing best practices, mentoring talent, and guiding adoption across teams.
  • Represent PMG in key industry settings, contributing to thought leadership through research, writing, speaking engagements, and other public-facing opportunities.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions, workshops, and cross-disciplinary learning experiences that foster a stronger understanding of brand strategy across the agency.
  • Help shape and pitch strategic programs for existing clients and new business opportunities, playing a central role in unlocking growth.
  • Guide the development of integrated, insight-driven marketing strategies that inform brand positioning, campaign narratives, and channel planning across global, multi-platform initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with Client Strategy, Creative, Media, and Analytics teams to turn customer insights into business-impacting ideas and experiences.
  • Write and deliver clear, compelling creative briefs that inspire teams while staying grounded in brand purpose and audience behavior.
  • Use a range of research tools and methodologies—including YouGov, Global Web Index, Mintel, and more—to uncover cultural and consumer insights that power brand strategy.
  • Synthesize both qualitative and quantitative research to understand the “why” behind behavior, attitudes, and decision-making.
  • Identify trends and emerging behaviors that shape how brands show up and connect with audiences—and turn those insights into stories, briefs, and presentations that move work forward.
  • Build and refine campaign architectures, consumer journeys, personas, communications plans, and ecosystem maps that guide strategic execution.
  • Lead ideation and activation sessions that bring strategy to life across media and creative channels—encouraging teams to stretch creatively and think holistically.
  • Advocate for the consumer by cultivating empathy, elevating emotional connection, and ensuring our work resonates with authenticity and clarity.
  • Proactively surface opportunities and strategic ideas that help clients navigate complexity, uncover whitespace, and solve their most pressing business challenges.
  • Translate insights into compelling narratives that influence key stakeholders and inspire bold, action-oriented thinking across brands and teams.

What You Will Bring

  • 8+ years of experience in strategy or a related discipline, with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Agency or consultancy experience highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership in defining cross-functional marketing strategies, rooted in research and audience insights, that drive both client success and organizational growth.
  • Proven success in guiding full-funnel campaign development—including brand positioning, creative strategy, and media planning—across integrated, multi-touch channels.
  • Adept at crafting and delivering data-informed strategies and recommendations that influence executive stakeholders and shape high-level brand and business decisions.
  • Track record of launching impactful campaigns by connecting evolving consumer behaviors to messaging frameworks and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong fluency in media and brand KPIs, marketing analytics, and insight development to inform strategic planning and creative briefs.
  • Exceptional communicator and cross-functional collaborator who builds trust and alignment across internal teams and external clients.
  • Skilled in facilitating brand workshops that generate meaningful audience insights and inspire creative storytelling.
  • Able to navigate fluid, fast-paced environments with agility and clarity, setting strategic direction for projects with defined insights, objectives, and success metrics.
  • Strong presenter, writer, and storyteller who distills complexity into focused narratives that drive action and alignment.
