Our team is looking for an experienced engineering leader to help develop and manage a team of multidisciplinary developers, executing best-in-class omni-channel projects leveraging industry leading Advertising Technologies, Ad Servers and Ad builder/DCO [dynamic content optimization] tools.

Working directly with a wide range of tech partners, inter-company and external integrated teams, the Creative Technology Senior Manager will be the primary subject-matter expert for all dynamic creative and asset automation project buildouts, delivery and integration into ad servers. They should be comfortable working directly with multi-disciplinary team leads across the PMG both in their primary office location and supported global markets. 

The right candidate will be responsible for supporting the development of workflows, technical project/resource management, thorough QA ensuring successful launches while leading the development and prototyping of new automation and company initiatives.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead ad technology, tech integration tests, dynamic [DCO], and omni-channel campaign production efforts across multiple brand teams, geographical locations and products (including new business and new agency tech initiatives)
  • Develop large scale programmatic, social and video campaigns across multiple formats and channels employing underlying code bases such as HTML/JS/CSS, and industry leading ad technology.  
  • Balance resources across multiple projects and 3rd-party vendors/contractors to ensure optimal delivery for all commitments, campaign deliverables, launches and roadmap objectives.
  • Facilitate campaign delivery statuses, and lead day to day tech delivery conversations
  • Support in the auditing and defining criteria for all functional and non-functional deliverable requirements including dynamic ad serving, data pass work streams, API/product feed integrations, asset tracking and tagging, performance outputs, creative authoring tools, scalability and quality assurance
  • Facilitate and cultivate relationships with our preferred platform partners, to establish development best practices and requirements, ensure continued innovation through product advancements/ways of working, and continuity of service through reporting and troubleshooting.
  • Encourage innovation, adoption of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, out-of-the-box thinking, cross-team collaboration, self-organization, and diversity
  • Support PMG on devising strategic roadmaps and onboarding materials for the continued advancements in product development and campaign delivery, QA automation tools and process adoption through our international developer hubs, with POVs on Build, Buy, Borrow. 
  • Become a super-user on new tools developed by PMG Product Teams.
  • Engage and motivate the development teams in driving greater adoption of best practices, standardized development processes, automation tools, and increased ownership of overall product quality.
  • Manage the career growth of direct reports and team members by providing mentoring, coaching, goal setting and ongoing professional development opportunities
  • Identify staffing needs and hire/develop top talent while managing the performance of direct reports

What You'll Bring

  • 12+ years of experience, including at least 6 years working at a Creative, AdTech and or Digital Agency 
  • Extensive knowledge of digital creative best practices and deliverables
  • Ability to write scalable and modular code to employ multi-variant testing and dynamic creative industry standards. 
  • Digital Creative Development (front-end) or relevant ad technology background with 6+ years experience 
  • Demonstrated ability to balance campaign objectives and time-to-market requirements without compromising product quality
  • Strong understanding of IAB Standards and Digital Ad Formats & specifications
  • Training and Certifications on PMG required DCO ad serving platforms - primary Google GMP and similar knowledge of Clinch, Celtra, Google GMP (DCM, GWD, DCS), Innovid, Smartly, Jivox, Bannerflow, Google Web Designer
  • Working knowledge of Project Management & DevOps tools like Airtable, JIRA, Smartsheets, Asana, Github
  • Self-starter with a high degree of self-motivation and initiative with the ability to build processes from the ground up and collaborate in a multi-stakeholder environment
  • Ability to identify skill and capacity gaps on the tech teams to inform the hiring and allocation of top talent
  • Proven ability to mentor and grow direct-reports, coach team members and manage performance issues
  • Ability to influence and coach multi-disciplinary developer teams and efficiently delegate tasks 
  • Proven ability to identify inefficiencies, adapt and implement major process revisions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detailed oriented with the ability support development team through troubleshooting and Quality assurance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Word, PPT, Outlook, Teams) 
  • Familiarity working with Creative Assets and Design apps such as the Adobe Creative Suite (primarily Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe XD, Adobe After Effects)

Preferred Skills

  • 4+ years working with internal and third-party APIs [REST, SOAP, JSON] like Open Weather Map or CRM data
  • 3+ years Python experience or comparable programming language 
  • Understanding of audience analytics capabilities and best practices (measurement, matching, onboarding, workflow, limitations, and workarounds, etc.) in the current environment
  • Experience working with excel formulas for data matching, aggregation and math
  • Experience with database systems, Website CMS tools queries and normalization
  • Basic understanding and ability to work in After Effects as needed.
  • Working knowledge of data factors driving project success (e.g.  PII vs. anonymized data, cookies vs. people, panels vs. census, passive vs. active/survey data, fused vs. matched data, etc.)
