Performance Content Director

Dallas, TX

We are PMG

Named Ad Age Best Places to Work for 11 years in a row and Fast Company Best Workplaces for Innovators since 2022, PMG is a global independent marketing services and technology company that seeks to inspire people and brands that anything is possible. Driven by shared success, PMG leverages business strategy and transformation, creative, media, and insights—as well as its proprietary operating system, Alli—to deliver cutting-edge digital solutions and innovative media strategies.

Our team comprises over 900 employees globally, and our work for ambitious brands like Apple, Nike, Sephora, Experian, Therabody, Best Western Hotels & Resorts, Creed Fragrances, BNY, Intuit, CKE Restaurants, Travelex, and Whole Foods spans 85+ countries.

Who You Will Be Working With

As a Performance Content Director, you’ll join PMG’s Performance Content and Creative teams—people who care deeply about making work that performs and feels true to the brand. You’ll partner day to day with creatives, performance media teams, and strategists who are focused on turning audience insight into messages that show up in the right places, at the right moments, with clear outcomes.

You’ll also work closely with teams who keep execution strong and measurable: Investment, Ad Ops, Data Science, and Analytics. Together, you’ll connect creative decisions to media delivery and results—so we can learn quickly, improve continuously, and scale what works across channels like Google, Meta, Amazon, and retail media partners.

Because this role sits at the intersection of creative and performance, you’ll be a steady connector—bringing clarity to cross-functional work, helping teams move from ideas to execution, and keeping the experience consistent across markets, platforms, and timelines. You’ll do all of this as a (title level) within (discipline), with room for us to align the exact leveling based on the right candidate.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Set a clear direction for Performance Content at PMG, bringing together creative strategy, media delivery, and measurement into one connected approach.
  • Lead initiatives across data-driven creative, dynamic creative optimization (DCO), personalization, retail commerce creative, and emerging AI-assisted content workflows.
  • Use Alli, PMG’s proprietary platform, to help teams translate audience signals and performance insights into creative decisions—so messaging stays relevant, timely, and effective.
  • Partner with client leaders to understand what success looks like, align on priorities and KPIs, and ensure creative and media plans support real business goals.
  • Run regular working sessions with clients and internal teams to review performance, share learnings, and agree on what to test, adjust, or scale next.
  • Build practical standards and playbooks for how performance content is planned, produced, approved, trafficked, and measured—so teams can move faster without sacrificing quality.
  • Guide measurement and reporting approaches that show the impact of creative choices, including testing plans and readouts that are easy to understand and act on.
  • Collaborate with Ad Ops and platform partners to ensure creative is delivered correctly (feeds, specs, tags, tracking), and help resolve issues that slow down performance.
  • Identify opportunities to evolve Alli’s creative capabilities—especially where automation can reduce manual work and improve speed, consistency, and learning.
  • Contribute to PMG’s external point of view through case studies, presentations, and thoughtful perspectives on where performance creative is headed.

What You Will Bring

  • 10+ years of experience in Creative Art, including 8+ years of leadership experience, with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Deep experience leading performance-focused creative and media work, with a strong understanding of how creative impacts outcomes across paid social, display, video, and commerce/retail media.
  • Comfort working across both strategy and execution, able to zoom out to set direction and zoom in to solve delivery, workflow, or measurement challenges.
  • A practical understanding of ad platforms and the creative requirements that come with them (formats, specs, trafficking needs, tracking, and optimization inputs).
  • Strong fluency in data-driven creative concepts like DCO, modular creative systems, personalization approaches, and testing methods, without losing sight of brand voice and human connection.
  • Confidence using modern tools (including AI-assisted workflows) to improve how teams ideate, produce, version, and learn, paired with good judgment about quality and brand safety.
  • Clear communication skills: you can turn complex topics into straightforward plans, strong briefs, and decision-ready updates for senior stakeholders.
  • A collaborative leadership style that builds trust across disciplines, brings teams together, and raises the standard without adding unnecessary process.
  • A track record of developing teams through coaching, feedback, and strong operating rhythms—whether through direct management or influence.
  • Experience working across global or multi-market environments, with an understanding of how to balance consistency with local nuance.
  • A commitment to curiosity and adaptability as a Continual Learner, staying at the forefront of media innovation while prioritizing client success with a Customer-Focused mindset that seeks opportunities to deliver meaningful value.
  • A dedication to People-Focused leadership, fostering collaboration, innovation, and professional growth by Leading by Example and nurturing strong relationships that empower others to excel.

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
