We’re a group of creative strategists, data enthusiasts, and media experts who thrive on collaboration and excellence. Together, we work across PMG’s media, strategy, creative, and technology teams to deliver full-funnel marketing solutions that drive meaningful business outcomes for some of the world’s most ambitious brands.

As a Paid Social Senior Director, you’ll serve as a senior leader within the Social practice, shaping the strategic vision for complex client partnerships while helping advance the capabilities, talent, and innovation of the broader team. You’ll partner with senior client stakeholders, platform leaders, and cross-functional teams to translate business priorities into sophisticated social strategies that drive measurable growth. You’ll also play a critical role in developing the next generation of leaders at PMG. By setting a high bar for strategic thinking, client partnership, operational excellence, and people leadership, you’ll help teams navigate complexity, identify new opportunities, and continuously evolve how we deliver value for our clients.

What You Will Do

  • Set the strategic vision for paid social across complex, large-scale client partnerships, ensuring strategies connect media investment to broader marketing and business objectives.

  • Serve as a senior strategic advisor to executive-level client stakeholders, building trusted relationships and guiding conversations around investment strategy, performance, innovation, measurement, and long-term growth.

  • Lead the development of integrated paid social strategies across core and emerging platforms, establishing testing frameworks, measurement approaches, and innovation roadmaps that drive best-in-class performance.

  • Identify opportunities to expand and evolve client partnerships, connecting emerging capabilities, technologies, and platform opportunities to clients’ evolving business needs.

  • Develop senior-level relationships with platform partners, shaping strategic partnerships and identifying opportunities for early access, testing, innovation, and joint business planning.

  • Partner across media, creative, strategy, data, and technology teams to develop integrated solutions that connect paid social to the broader customer journey and marketing ecosystem.

  • Establish standards and best practices for paid social strategy, activation, optimization, measurement, and innovation, helping elevate capabilities across teams and client engagements.

  • Champion the use of PMG’s proprietary technology, Alli, to unlock deeper insights, improve operational efficiency, and identify new opportunities to advance client performance.

  • Lead, develop, and mentor managers and senior team members, strengthening their strategic, technical, client leadership, and people management capabilities.

  • Build strong, high-performing teams by creating clarity around expectations, empowering leaders, providing actionable feedback, and fostering an environment of accountability and continuous growth.

  • Oversee resource planning and team structures across complex accounts, balancing client needs, team development, operational efficiency, and sustainable growth.

  • Partner with senior leadership on broader Social practice priorities, including capability development, talent planning, innovation, operational excellence, and the continued evolution of PMG’s paid social offering.

What You Will Bring

  • 10+ years of experience in paid social strategy, digital media, or a related field, with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and inspire high-performing teams and people leaders.

  • Deep expertise in Paid Social, Marketing Metrics, and Marketing Planning & Analysis, with experience translating complex business objectives into sophisticated media strategies.

  • Advanced knowledge of major and emerging social platforms, including Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Snap, and LinkedIn, with a strong understanding of how platform capabilities can drive business outcomes.

  • Proven experience leading large-scale, complex client relationships and advising senior and executive-level stakeholders on media strategy, investment, performance, and innovation.

  • Strong understanding of content and creative strategy, with the ability to connect audience insights, platform behaviors, media strategy, and creative execution.

  • Advanced analytical capabilities and experience using tools such as Google Analytics, Microsoft Excel, SQL, or similar platforms to uncover insights and inform strategic decision-making.

  • A track record of developing testing, measurement, and innovation frameworks that translate media performance into actionable business insights.

  • Strong commercial and operational acumen, with experience navigating resource planning, team structures, scopes of work, and evolving client needs.

  • Exceptional communication and executive presence, with the ability to simplify complex topics, influence senior stakeholders, and create alignment across diverse teams.

  • Proven ability to develop managers and future leaders, creating environments where teams are empowered to make decisions, grow their expertise, and deliver exceptional work.
