The Role:

At Podium, we’re looking for talented full-stack software engineers who are passionate about AI and excited to make a significant impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. As an engineer at Podium, you’ll work on both front-end and back-end systems that directly shape the success of our platform and the businesses we support.

You’ll collaborate across departments to solve real-world problems for small businesses and help build scalable, high-performance systems. You’ll contribute to the continuous evolution of our platform by leveraging AI technologies. What you will be doing:

• Develop and deploy full-stack AI-driven applications powered by large language models to automate interactions and manage leads for local businesses.
• Design, implement, and maintain both the front-end and back-end of scalable systems that integrate AI technologies.
• Work through the entire development lifecycle—from architecture to deployment—ensuring seamless integration of AI solutions.
• Engage in rapid prototyping and iterative development to refine both AI and platform features based on user feedback and real-world performance.
• Implement systems to monitor and evaluate AI agents in production, ensuring reliability and optimal user satisfaction.
• Stay current with industry trends in generative AI and full-stack development, applying cutting-edge research to practical business solutions.

What you should have:

• 5+ years of hands-on programming experience with modern languages like Python, Go, or Elixir.
• Strong experience with both front-end (e.g., React, JavaScript, TypeScript) and back-end (e.g., Node.js, Python, Elixir) technologies.
• Solid understanding of full-stack architecture and how to interact with the latest AI models, and utilize the strengths of the models.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to decompose complex issues and drive innovation.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team, translating technical concepts for diverse audiences.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, iterative development environment.

What we hope you have:

• 5+ years of experience in designing and contributing to large-scale distributed systems and AI-driven applications.
• Experience with both front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue) and back-end systems (e.g., FastAPI, Phoenix).
• Proficiency in Python and its application in AI-driven full-stack systems.
• Exceptional writing abilities for creating and optimizing prompts for generative AI models.
• Experience with deploying, monitoring, debugging, and evaluating AI agents in production environments.
