We are seeking a highly analytical and business-savvy Sr. Marketing Strategy and Data Analyst to join our team. This role is critical in driving data-driven decision-making across our marketing and sales functions and reports to the Revenue Operations group. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in SQL, data visualization tools like Sigma (preferred), Tableau, or Looker, and experience working in a productionalized code environment with DBT. They should also have marketing strategy and operations experience—connecting how data is generated with how it is analyzed and reported—enabling them to provide insights and recommendations at both ends.

The ideal candidate is driven by innovations in AI and passionate about leveraging these transformative technologies to optimize marketing operations and analytics. They will be eager to lead AI-driven projects within these areas.

This role works closely with key marketing stakeholders—including Marketing Leadership, Performance/Digital Marketing, Trade Show/Events, and Vertical Marketing—as well as Sales Operations, SDR teams, and Sales to optimize marketing performance and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and analyze marketing funnels to identify trends, uncover inefficiencies, and drive improvements in conversion rates.
  • Develop and refine multi-touch attribution models to measure the impact of various marketing channels on revenue.
  • Produce detailed reporting for marketing teams, including Performance/Digital, Trade Show, and Vertical teams.
  • Be a data quality expert, continuously seeking ways to improve data accuracy and catch errors.
  • Develop and execute data-driven marketing strategies that optimize lead generation, conversion, and retention, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and revenue targets.
  • Assess the effectiveness of marketing-to-sales handoffs, optimizing lead flow and sales follow-ups.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to refine lead scoring models and improve lead qualification processes.
  • Leverage AI and machine learning techniques to enhance marketing analytics, campaign optimization, and operational efficiency.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize key performance metrics.
  • Work in a productionalized code environment, leveraging DBT for data transformation and analytics automation.
  • Design and implement scalable data models to support marketing analytics and reporting needs.
  • Incorporate AI into data development workflows to streamline analysis and improve efficiency.
  • Partner with Marketing Operations to improve systems and processes spanning Marketo, Salesforce, and other key marketing technologies.
  • Support ad-hoc analysis requests, delivering actionable insights to marketing leadership.
  • Enable the marketing team with self-serve reporting mechanisms to measure and analyze their campaigns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing Ops, Sales Ops, Data Science, and Business Applications, to execute strategic projects.
  • Assist in testing, operationalizing, tracking, and optimizing new marketing channels.  

What You Should Have:

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing analytics, data analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools like Sigma (preferred), Tableau, or Looker.
  • Experience in a productionalized code environment, preferably with DBT.
  • Understanding of marketing funnels, attribution models, and lead management best practices.
  • Experience or a strong interest in applying AI and machine learning in marketing analytics and operations.
  • Strong strategic thinking and experience in aligning marketing initiatives with business objectives, leveraging data insights to guide decision-making and improve overall marketing performance.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation and CRM platforms such as Marketo and Salesforce.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business recommendations.
  • Ability to thrive in a cross-functional environment, working closely with marketing, sales, and operations teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, leveraging data and multiple perspectives to make recommendations.
  • Data and presentation expertise—able to use data to develop insights and clearly communicate the “so what” to senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience working in Marketo, Salesforce (or related platforms) and a solid understanding of CRM-MAP data.
  • Knowledge of B2B SaaS marketing, the marketing funnel, and digital marketing strategies and tactics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in B2B marketing analytics, preferably in a SaaS or technology-driven environment.
  • Background in analyzing and optimizing digital marketing campaigns, events, and vertical marketing initiatives.
  • Exposure to Python, R, or other programming languages for advanced analytics.
  • Familiarity with marketing mix modeling and experimentation methodologies.
  • Experience with Marketo and Salesforce.
  • Experience with Cursor or other AI tools.
