AI Product Lead, Macro

What you’ll do

The AI Product Lead, Macro will be embedded within the firm’s Global Macro business, responsible for identifying and building potential solutions that leverage Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to deliver productivity improvements and differentiated insights. You will manage a team of AI/ML Researchers and Developers and partner with Business Heads, investment professionals and investment services to identify opportunities, define requirements, prioritize use cases, and deploy and scale AI/ML solutions.

In the near term, these initiatives could potentially provide investment professionals with more effective workflows, empower Risk Managers with differentiated insights, and unlock efficiencies for central operations groups. Longer term, the AI Product Lead will work towards scaling the impact (and team) to innovate across the investment process, portfolio construction, post/pre trade execution and risk management.

The AI Product Lead will own all aspects of product development and onboarding including resourcing projects, prioritization, testing and deployment, and ongoing, metrics-driven reporting of progress, outcomes, and challenges across initiatives.

As part of the AI/ML community at Point72, Product Leads and their teams will collaborate horizontally with one another and vertically with our AI Platform and Data Teams, and Compliance to define the AI Strategy for the firm including its infrastructure, architecture, models, and data needs.

Specifically, you will:

  • Lead AI solutions with the goal of generating differentiated performance for Point72’sDiscretionary Macro business.
    • Identify, invent, scope, and prioritize AI projects, delivering a cohesive roadmap to create scaled impact through engagement with investment professionals.
    • Initiate, develop, and deliver potential solutions through understanding Point72’s infrastructure, technology, algorithms or adopt/integrate external state-of-the art solutions.
    • Integrate approved AI applications into the Discretionary Macro business
  • Lead small team of AI Researchers and Developers
  • Manage the product development lifecycle from ideation to deployment
  • Track and communicate progress and challenges across AI Macro initiatives
  • Partner with other Product Leads and their teams as well as our Technology, and Compliance departments to define the firm’s AI Strategy
  • Partner internally to establish rigorous model governance practices, including testing, monitoring, and documentation to ensure solutions remain accurate and bias-free
  • Stay up to date on AI/ML market landscape, trends, and technological innovations to provide recommendations on new tools and methodologies for adoption

What’s required

  • Demonstrated success leveraging AI to drive/improve business outcomes
  • Experience and knowledge of macro investing, or alternatively a demonstratable capacity to rapidly learn and understand principles based on a strong quantitative foundation
  • 10+ years of experience in leading tech/engineers/quants
  • History of attracting and developing AI/ML talent
  • Team-first and impact-centric approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Data Science is highly desirable.

The annual base salary range for this role is $400,000, which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
