What you’ll do

As a Cloud FinOps Engineer, you will be instrumental in optimizing our cloud financial operations, ensuring that we maximize the value of our cloud investments. This role offers the opportunity to shape the commercial strategies of our cloud infrastructure.  Specifically, you will:

• Develop and implement cloud cost management strategies to optimize spending.
• Analyze cloud usage patterns to identify and execute cost-saving opportunities.
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations on cloud cost management to stakeholders.
• Implement and manage tools and processes for cloud cost optimization.
• Create and maintain financial models to forecast cloud expenditures.
• Monitor and report on cloud financial performance, ensuring budget adherence.
• Create and maintain cost allocation strategies for appropriate internal chargeback of cloud spend.
• Educate and train teams on best practices in cloud financial management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align cloud financial strategies with business goals.

What’s Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2+ years experience in cloud financial management
• 7+ years in enterprise and/or financial services technology.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Proficiency in financial analysis and modeling.
• Experience with cloud cost management tools such as Apptio Cloudability, CloudHealth, or AWS Cost Explorer.
• FinOps Foundation professional certifications (e.g., FinOps Certified Professional/Practitioner/Engineer)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards.

The annual base salary range for this role is $200,000-$250,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
