WHAT YOU’LL DO
You will be part of the Technology Support team providing Level 2 application and platform support for the firm’s Research and Equity Trading technology platforms.
- Provide day-to-day Level 2 support for critical Research and Trading applications
- Manage and support production platforms, ensuring high availability and performance
- Handle software upgrades, releases, and production deployments
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting of application, database, and infrastructure issues
- Support trading systems during incidents, including root cause analysis, remediation, and stakeholder communication
- Liaise closely with developers, infrastructure teams, other Point72 technology groups, and end users
- Design and implement tools, scripts, dashboards, and reports to improve operational efficiency and system observability
- Participate in incident management, post-incident reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
What’s REQUIRED
- 3+ years of experience in Application Support or IT Operations, preferably within the financial services industry
- Strong hands-on SQL experience (3+ years), including writing and optimizing queries for troubleshooting and reporting
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB (2+ years), including querying and basic operational support
- Linux fundamentals with at least 1+ year of troubleshooting experience, including process monitoring, log analysis, and basic system commands
- Proven experience supporting Windows-based applications, including installation, configuration, and performance troubleshooting
- Ability to diagnose and resolve issues related to application performance, compatibility, connectivity, and data flows
- Experience with job scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M, Autosys, or similar) is preferred
- A development background (e.g., scripting or programming experience) is a strong advantage and will be highly valued
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a production environment
- Ability to work effectively in a global team, with flexibility across shifts and time zones
