Job Title: Production Coordinator, Original Animation 

Job Summary:  

The Production Coordinator supports the Original Animation Department with day-to-day asset and notes tracking while keeping tabs on updates and upcoming deadlines for multiple animated projects and vendors. They help facilitate internal and external communications, supporting the Department Director and Production Manager to ensure TPCi standards and needs are met.

What You’ll Do  

  • Help oversee deliveries and maintain trackers throughout the production process across multiple animated projects 

  • Coordinate and manage calendar meeting invites with internal stakeholders as needed (post-production, legal, creative, brand, etc.) 

  • Assists with questions, update requests, concerns and general communications for each animated project for internal stakeholders 

  • Reads and responds to general production e-mails in a timely manner 

  • Constructs review and delivery packages; relaying, receives and archives notes required by internal stakeholders 

  • Handle schedule requests and navigate potential conflicts for the Director of the Department or other TPCi leadership 

  • Identify, flag and help address any potential delays and issues with the production process to the Production Manager and Director 

  • Assist on special projects for festivals, awards, and promotions 

  • Work alongside Production Manager to help create foundational documentation of processes and workflows 

  • General note taking and archiving for creative meetings, as well as following up on action items 

  • Pulling up creative materials (animatics, model sheets, shots, etc.) during creative meetings 

  • Prepares conference rooms for necessary in-person meetings and helps manage technical issues if any should arise 

  • Follows up with vendor studios about notes turnarounds and deliveries 

  • Collects TPCi approved references and models needed by vendors 

  • Conducts quality control checks on animation department deliverables, as well as making sure notes are properly interpreted and addressed 

  • Supports overall studio and department directives/objectives as department continues to expand 

 

What You’ll Bring  

  • 3 years of experience as a production assistant and/or coordinator within Animation production 

  • Exemplifies clear and concise written and verbal communication skills 

  • Keen attention to detail, with flexible and good judgement 

  • Innovative and solution driven team-player while being able to work proactively and independently as needed 

  • Great time management skills with multiple tasks and projects (with ability to sort priorities) 

  • Ability to adapt to different software programs, management and notes tracking systems 

  • Curiosity to learn more about Animation creative & production processes 

  • Desire for professional development through peer feedback and training 

 

Nice to Have 

  • Passion for animated entertainment 

  • Fluent in spoken and written Japanese 

  • Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office 

  • Experience with Production or Project Management software 

  • While passion for the Pokémon brand is a plus it is not required, knowledge of and a willingness to learn more about the brand and industry is a must. 

 

Base Salary Range: For this role, new hires generally start between $78,000 - $93,000 per year. The full range is $78,000 - $118,000 per year. This range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. The final base salary is directly related to the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience uniquely.
