DOPV is a joint venture between Deep Ocean Partners (New York) and Polymath Ventures (Mexico City), combining institutional private credit expertise with deep operating knowledge of tech companies, local capital markets, and legal structures in Mexico.
We are a data science–led and AI-enabled private credit platform, focused on providing asset-backed lending (ABL) solutions to fintech, B2B SaaS, eCommerce, and other tech-enabled companies in Mexico. Our products include structured credit, factoring, and working capital facilities ranging from MXN $100–1,000 million ($5–50M USD equivalent), designed to scale alongside fast-growing businesses.

We are looking for a Private Credit Associate to join our team. This role sits at the core of our investment process, supporting the evaluation, structuring, and monitoring of credit opportunities, as well as investor-facing materials.
We are looking for someone highly analytical, detail-oriented, and execution-driven, with strong financial judgment and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do:

Your work will be focused across four key areas:
Underwriting

Analyze financials and credit data to assess whether a company is a strong candidate for financing

Evaluate business models and key risk drivers
Structuring (critical)

Support the design of credit structures, including key terms, covenants, and risk frameworks

Translate deal logic into inputs for legal and execution processes
Investor Materials & Communication

Prepare investment memos and materials for internal and external stakeholders

Support communication with investors, articulating the rationale behind each opportunity
Monitoring

Track portfolio performance and compliance with covenants

Support ongoing analysis of borrower performance and risk

What Are We Looking For?
- Minimum 4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, private credit, or strategic finance
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on financial modeling and market analysis
- Ability to work with financial data to support credit decisions and risk assessment
- Exposure to deal structuring is highly valuable and a strong differentiator
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills in both English and Spanish
- Strategic, detail-oriented mindset with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, and eagerness to take on new challenges
