IT Infrastructure Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Infrastructure Administrator to join Pontera’s Global IT team. This role is responsible for advanced IT operations, automation-driven system onboarding, endpoint and identity management, on-prem infrastructure, and close collaboration with Security and R&D.
The position serves as a Tier-3 escalation point and plays a key role in ensuring stable, secure, and compliant IT systems across a global fintech environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Systems Onboarding

  • Design and lead onboarding and integration of SaaS applications and IT systems.
  • Build and maintain automated onboarding, offboarding, and access workflows 
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to define requirements and implement scalable solutions.

Infrastructure Administration

  • Manage on-prem infrastructure including firewalls, switches, access points, CCTV systems (UniFi and Hikvision), and access control. (Fortient, Aruba, UniFi)
  • Administer Azure Entra ID and Active Directory, including management of Active Directory domain controllers supporting the R&D environment.
    Maintain office IT infrastructure including conferencing and collaboration systems.
  • Administer identity platforms including Okta and Google Workspace, covering integrations, access policies, and lifecycle management.
  • Manage endpoint and MDM platforms including Kandji and Microsoft Intune.
  • Administer Slack, including workspace configuration, access management, and integrations with SaaS and internal systems.
  • Maintain centralized SaaS application management and access governance.
    Perform system updates, upgrades, patching, and maintenance.
  • Monitor infrastructure health, performance, and availability.

Project Management

  • Lead and execute IT infrastructure and operations projects end to end.
  • Work in sprints and collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical initiatives.
  • Use project and task management tools such as Jira, Monday, or similar platforms.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting

  • Resolve complex technical issues escalated from Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams.
  • Act as an escalation point, ensuring timely resolution and long-term fixes.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement preventative improvements.

IT Security and Compliance

  • Work closely with Security and R&D teams on vulnerability management and remediation.
  • Support ISO and SOC compliance efforts from an IT infrastructure perspective.
  • Implement security best practices according to security team guidelines.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing

  • Create and maintain clear technical documentation for systems, automations, and processes.
  • Provide knowledge transfer and guidance to Tier 1 and Tier 2 teams.

Vendor and Tool Management

  • Work with vendors on troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools that improve IT operations and automation.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or IT operations, including Tier-3 support.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills using Python and PowerShell, with an automation-first mindset that includes no-code and low-code tools.
  • Strong hands-on experience with IT automation platforms such as Workato, Make.com and SaaS management tools like Torii, Zluri.
  • Proven experience administering Okta and Google Workspace, including integrations.
  • Strong experience managing MDM solutions, specifically Kandji and Microsoft Intune.
  • Solid experience managing on-prem networking, security, and physical IT systems.
  • Experience working on security, vulnerability remediation, and compliance initiatives.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Familiarity with endpoint security and monitoring tools.
  • Relevant certifications are an advantage.

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and execution abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear communication and strong collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently while owning systems end to end.
  • Fluent English.
