PA is currently raising and investing out of its fifth dedicated secondary fund (~$3.5bn of expected commitments), purchasing interests in buy-out, venture capital, growth equity and distressed funds around the world. PA is looking to add an Associate to the Secondary Investment Team located in Darien, CT.

This person will have the responsibility to assist the secondary team’s investment professionals in sourcing, underwriting and monitoring investment opportunities. Specifically, the individual will be involved with and responsible for:

  • Providing transactional support for the Secondary team
  • Performing private equity portfolio valuations and transaction modeling
  • Conducting market and company research
  • Participating in due diligence calls
  • Assisting in all aspects of the transaction, including deal selection, pricing analysis, negotiation and execution
  • Assisting in all transaction documentation and presentations to investment committee
  • Conducting market research
  • Performing deal monitoring analysis
  • Participating in identification of deal sourcing targets
  • Performing other ad hoc projects

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • We seek an individual who is self-disciplined and demonstrates creative thinking
  • Graduated from a top-tier undergraduate university
  • 2-4 years work experience in an investment banking, private equity or consulting organization, or 2-3 years of secondary exposure
  • Strong analytical, modeling, organizational and writing skills
  • A professional presence coupled with relationship skills to interact effectively with internal and external parties
  • A highly-motivated, self-starter with the ability work independently within a team context
