Position Overview:

We are currently looking for an Intern to report to the Chief of Staff, Portage. This role involves supporting the Chief of Staff in planning and delivering strategic, operational, and growth initiatives to advance Portage’s priorities. This individual will play a pivotal role in supporting our team on various initiatives, including supporting the CEO, optimizing processes / meeting efficiency, and managing ecosystem engagement. The Intern role will provide the opportunity to collaborate with many teams across the organization. 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Assist in strategic planning efforts by conducting research, gathering data, and preparing materials to support decision-making
  • Support the creation of presentations and briefing materials for the CEO’s internal and external engagements (e.g., conferences, team offsites, fireside chats)
  • Attend meetings with the CEO, take notes, and track action items to ensure follow-ups are completed
  • Provide support on various projects led by the Chief of Staff, including process improvements, meeting coordination, and operational initiatives.
  • Assist in drafting internal and external communications, including reports, newsletters, and presentations
  • Collaborate with teams across the organization, including Investor Relations, Legal, and Finance, to support operational objectives
  • Conduct research and analysis to support key initiatives and business needs.
  • Assist in preparing investor updates, reports, and portfolio company reviews by gathering information and editing presentation materials

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Economics, or a related field
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Proactive, eager to learn, and willing to take on a variety of tasks
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) or Google Suite
  • A positive attitude and a strong sense of professionalism
